I found out, that I am not the right one for discussing this topic. Instead of talking ABOUT God, I prefere to talking WITH God.

no one is stopping you, talk to it all you want...

Notice that there no one seems to know what "god" IS.

Perhaps that is understandable. Since an omnipotent entity is incomprehensible to humans, how can some claim to know about it?

Although nobody KNOWS, many purport to know after reading ancient texts or listening to lectures -- from people who CLAIM knowledge of the supernatural and tell stories about such things.

It appears to be "the blind leading the blind" and all thinking that those who do not join their procession of worship will be punished in an "afterlife" (which cannot be shown to be anything more than imagination).

it's the ultimate con... getting people to believe in a mythical being that can hurl you into a pit of fire for eternity if you don't do what they say, like the church knows anymore about god than anyone else does... i see why people are called sheep now...

Excellent business plan. Manufacture a "need", offer a "solution", charge for your service, call income a donation and gain tax exempt status.

For centuries, the mystics of spirit had existed by running a protection racket by making life on earth unbearable, then charging you for consolation and relief, by forbidding all the virtues that make existence possible, then riding on the shoulders of your guilt, by declaring production and joy to be sins, then collecting blackmail from the sinners.

Objective Proof is sadly lacking.

Evolution based on Darwin? Darwin himself had serious doubts about his theory.
Traditional Christianity, (Catholic-protestant). Is based more on the politics of the Roman Empire, than on the bible.

Please do elaborate. I've never heard the mention of or reference of the Roman empire or anything outside the scriptures in church or anywhere else in this manner.

We worship God. Not the bible, not the preacher(s) or anything outside of Jesus himself and what he has told us and or done for us.

There were three events that shaped "Traditional Christianity"

#1. The persecution of the Christians. Started with Nero, Diocletian, ended with the Edict of Milan.
#2. The end of the persecution, Edict of Milan
#3. The council of Nicaea

#1 Why did they persecute the Christians, when they were tolerant of others?
#2 Why did Constantine end the persecution?
#3 Why was the doctrine that came out of Nicaea different from what Jesus and the Apostles taught?

There is a lot of information available to answer these questions.

How could that be so? "Christianity" is a broad term. Just because two are "Christians" doesn't mean they believe the same or worship the same. One's walk with God is a personal walk, not dictated by any of the examples provided.

That is true. By "Traditional Christianity" I am referring to what is taught in the Catholic and Protestant churches.

So you believe every single Catholic or Protestant church believes the exact same thing? There's not a couple out of each that may believe one thing different then the rest? And is this through assumption or have you talked with everyone out of every church to come to this conclusion? Or is it just most people don't openly express/talk about their faith as wide of a range and in depth as done on this forum? So therefore you again assume they just believe the exact same thing as the others?

I did not say anybody believes the exact same thing. Where did you get that idea from?

Five pages into this thread and no one has even attempted to answer the OP question "Who or what is god?"

Perhaps, as I suspect, few (if any) have a reasonable answer.
