Um, what in the world made you think everyone on here is a Christian????? And it's not racist to not want to receive emails from people in other countries, it means you don't want to talk them, because they're too freaking far away.

You might want to lose the all caps, it's considered yelling and it's quite rude...

Also, I don't apologize for not wanting to talk to guys from other countries, they don't interest me, period.

I think we all know there are great people from everywhere. The world is becoming one big city (I personally love it). We are talking about spams and scams and that it would be nice if there was a trap door button option on here when we get plastered with mail. And there seems to be this mail that comes from certain areas of the world more than others.

I'm sure there is no offense meant to those who enjoy mingle (from anywhere) with the rest of us that have made it our social home. You are more than welcome here and we apperiate the diversity.

MARSBH, you never read my mail because your Mingle2 private message filter won't allow me to send you mail. Try re-setting the age limits.

Wow I did not know there was a quota from any of the multitudes of countries that Mingle is received in as far as posting forum threads, or sending friendship requests, or email from. Not like anyone is twisting your arm to respond or it is blocking any other person from responding to you. No response after all is a response. You can easily delete and block.

I am not sure what the heartburn is about having someone of a different race And from a different country is about. Would you date them if they traveled to, studied, worked here, or owned property here? What if they had family here or held dual citizenship? Hate to break it too you all or some of that applies to many. American's are more likely to sit on their bum in one state and not even travel across a border than most of the people of the world.

Since I know excruciatingly few "American's" that speak or read even a minimum of a second language having a major attitude about grammar, spelling, and slang common here is incredibly embarrassing.

What little American's know about other countries, cultures, and commerce would fill reams. But if you want to ignore we live in a world wide community that routinely overlaps well close your email box and hibernate with what is left.

Assuming that everyone from certain countries are scammers or impoverished just willing to do anything to satisfy you more than the common junkies, thugs, sex/slave trafficker's, gangbangers, or welfare cheats that are right in this country and pretending to be elsewhere is pretty narrow thinking.

Believe it if someone jumped up and blithely slandered a race or region in the USA these boards would lite up in Caps, profanity, and threats the thread would be deleted.

I haven't seen anyone saying anything derogatory about anyone from another country, I've seen people saying they don't want to be bothered with obnoxious behavior, and I agree with that. I don't want to talk to people from Nigeria or India because of how a large majority of them (notice I didn't say ALL OF THEM) act on the forums and because of how rude they are when they send friend requests to people they don't even know, when they send nudges to people they don't even know, and when they send emails that are full of a million vowels and consonants (that I can't even freaking understand) calling me "auntie" and "dear" and other words that are too familiar from one stranger to another.

After a while, it becomes a form of harassment. I've considered leaving this site several times because I'm tired of being harassed; yeah it's easy to delete, block or ignore a friend request, an email or a nudge, but it shouldn't be an issue, once I deleted and blocked 3 friend requests from those countries in a span of 10 minutes, that's ridiculous. I haven't experienced the same behavior from Americans, so I have no problem with Americans, I have a problem with a group of people who don't seem to know how to be respectful to others.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to interact with someone from another country or another culture, but you should treat people with respect. There is nothing respectful about making sexual comments, repeatedly nudging people who have ignored you and basically acting in a juvenile, rude way. That is how biases against other cultures start, you see enough rude behavior exhibited by a large group of people from one culture/country and you don't want to be bothered with them. So I get why this thread was started- out of frustration and a need to connect with others who might feel the same way. I don't see this as racist or elitist or anything, I just see a group of people venting about being bothered. If not wanting to be bothered makes me prejudiced, color me prejudiced.

I get at least 3-4 emails per week from accounts that have pictures of women and say they are based in Asian countries. Anybody else getting these?

I haven't actually been asked to send money to anybody or try to be someone's meal ticket like I have on other sites. I was just wondering what gives?

Sometimes I get email's and I will respond back and then they never talk to me again so the whole thing is really strange.

i always ask for boob pics.that usually kills the conversation

It really makes me sad that anyone would say they don't want to hear from an entire country just because a few obnoxious creeps, probably telemarketers desperate to make a quota of "connections' in a sweatshop phone bank send clearly offensive connects.

To say that an entire culture and Billions of people conduct themselves the way a few (Holy cow 3-4 emails a week is miniscule) who slip through the filtering system here do is very short sighted and getting overly frusterated for what I call a little digital smudge.

It is so easy to forward these offenses to management and they are responsive about clearing away these pests it justifys a free site in my view.

Laugh it off; if the worst thing you ever get is someone calling you "Aunty" or begging for money in exchange for sex you are lucky. Try putting it in the perspective, wrong as it might be, that they see you as successful enough to be able to afford keeping them as "pets" and count your blessings you don't have to.

Might want to think how they ever came up with the conclusion that is how our culture is perceived; even if it is a miniscule number of people. Are we as American's or some of the other folks who are also being solicited seen as chumps? You know they would not even bother trying if it weren't somehow successful. Someone is sending them money, someone is buying whatever commodity they are trying to hustle, and someone is being that stupid on line probably this site because they would not target "Mingler's" if it was wasted effort.

Maybe they just enjoy seeing a few people live down to the perceptions that it is really easy to goad thin skinned, lonely, bored American's into retreating to complaining, name calling, or pouting that they have been offended. And in the process offending the same people who they have more in common with than they think. The majority of people in Asia, India, and Nigeria who are hard working , educated, computer literate people struggling with the same issues we do; bad economy, exhorbitent morgages, family, and relationships that don't last to name a few.
