That's the biggest problem I have and that is
I always hear people say the nudges and obvious
fake profiles are ignored but if every
one took a few minutes and investigated
these profiles, then they could make a clear
decision and report them.
I don't even get them anymore,maybe because
they were coming from the same source
and they put 2 & 2 together, IDN.
I do no I've had them even in the same city
in Canada,as well as other provinces, so the only way to win is everyone needs to police!
It seems everyone knows its our problem but wants
someone else to fix it.
there isn't something else we are the someone
else.
It could be wiped out so fast that the scammers
would be scrambling to make new profiles and the
dates would all read very recent, making them
suspect right away.

You get this as well then. laugh I think South America, Africa and Asia should be banned from Mingle. I can't understand a word they say anyway.

Almost spat my chocolate milk over the monitor, thank you

Does that include Mexico? I only ask this because thee about a million expats living in Mexico. Where I live we outnumber Mexicans during the winter months. My neighbors are from Germany. A friend is from South Africa.

The world is becoming more homogenized as more of us seasoned folks go where the weather is nice. My electric bill runs about $10 every 2 months. My monthly food bill is about $200. Fruit is cheap, citrus.is free as are avacados and mangoes (in back yard).

I haven't seen anyone saying anything derogatory about anyone from another country, I've seen people saying they don't want to be bothered with obnoxious behavior, and I agree with that. I don't want to talk to people from Nigeria or India because of how a large majority of them (notice I didn't say ALL OF THEM) act on the forums and because of how rude they are when they send friend requests to people they don't even know, when they send nudges to people they don't even know, and when they send emails that are full of a million vowels and consonants (that I can't even freaking understand) calling me "auntie" and "dear" and other words that are too familiar from one stranger to another.

After a while, it becomes a form of harassment. I've considered leaving this site several times because I'm tired of being harassed; yeah it's easy to delete, block or ignore a friend request, an email or a nudge, but it shouldn't be an issue, once I deleted and blocked 3 friend requests from those countries in a span of 10 minutes, that's ridiculous. I haven't experienced the same behavior from Americans, so I have no problem with Americans, I have a problem with a group of people who don't seem to know how to be respectful to others.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to interact with someone from another country or another culture, but you should treat people with respect. There is nothing respectful about making sexual comments, repeatedly nudging people who have ignored you and basically acting in a juvenile, rude way. That is how biases against other cultures start, you see enough rude behavior exhibited by a large group of people from one culture/country and you don't want to be bothered with them. So I get why this thread was started- out of frustration and a need to connect with others who might feel the same way. I don't see this as racist or elitist or anything, I just see a group of people venting about being bothered. If not wanting to be bothered makes me prejudiced, color me prejudiced.

I don't even think they're scammers, they're just obnoxious and pushy.

I have seen posts that designate they live here but after a couple of emails say they are currently living in China or somewhere else but will be here in a couple of months and want to continue corresponding till they arrive. I simply tell them i dont wait over three days to meet anyone as they are too busy, only playing games or arent serious about meeting... Lots of BS everywhere its the price we all pay to meet wherever it is....

I don't care where people are from, as long as they are honest about it. Speaking to people from other parts of the world can be enlightening.
