It does not teach history, as their authors do not wanted to do it. indisputable concept. But to say it is not a historical book goes beyond every logica, as... it is not a contemporary book!

It's called faith.
Your disbelief exemplifies your faith in not believing. The same could be asked of you. How do you know? I'm just saying.
Scripture says that the wisdom of God will be viewed as foolishness by those who don't believe.

On a side note;
When I was young I said to myself, "I'd rather have Him and not need Him than need Him and not have Him".

7 Before [Zion] travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came upon her, she was delivered of a male child.

8 Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children.

9 Shall I bring to the [moment of] birth and not cause to bring forth? says the Lord. Shall I Who causes to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.

I'm not sure if your meaning of faith is the same as mine.

I have what for me, are very logical reasons for the things I have faith in, but I suppose everyone has their own form of logic.

I probably have more faith in the laws of the universe, cause and effect etc., than most religious people have in their God.

It is the writings of man (scripture) that logically I see no reason to "have faith" in.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Fearing "The Lord" means nothing to me. The term "The Lord" does not mean God. It refers to royalty, I.E. the royal family. It means "master" as in master and slave.
