Was married. Separated before 2nd anniversary, divorced after 3rd anniversary.

He decided that there was someone he wanted to be with someone more than he wanted to be with more than me. I busted him, changed the locks and filed for separation.

In all honesty, with 20/20 hindsight, we were not very good married. However, we have come through a lot together since and are really good friends and co-parents (oh, modern terminology is stupid!)

On a last note, he is not with the one he was messing around with now. Married a great girl and they have a 16 month old.

Yup been married ... with him nearly 20 years - married for 14 of them


Why I got divorced... technically speaking it ended with the second affair in 2005.

Practically speaking - looking back it wasn't much of a relationship at all. He was a workaholic, never home and emotionally unavailable when he was.

In hindsight I will take lonely outside of a relationship any day of the week before I will spend another moment in a relationship feeling that empty.

No bitterness ... no regret...

I was absolutely where I needed to be to learn what I needed. I got it ... no need to go there again.

On to the next grander version of myself ... and experience ... and relationship...


I am not opposed to the idea of marriage at all but I do not seek it either. I want the pure expressions of love to flow. Immersed in relationship - I love the interraction. Sharing life with another and love. Whether it carries a married label or not is irrelevant to me.
