On I-5 (88 miles south of Seattle )

The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed or Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways.

The State of Washington replied, they will secede from the Union rather than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private citizen.

It seems the Obama government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone.

Looks like a bogus story to me. First, it's old, dating back to February of last year. Second, there are few details as to who exactly said what. Just that "the federal government is petitioning." I know there are various Department of Transportation laws about signs on highways, but that's just to keep from unnecessarily destracting drivers and causing accidents. This story looks so vague, and seems only to appear in blogs. I'm betting that the only thing that happened is that some people put up signs, and others merely guessed that the Obama Administration wouldn't be happy about it.

doesn't matter,, IM sure the black panthers couldn't put up signs saying kill the white babies and have people whinging the signs should remain under freedom of speech and WHITE taxpayers continue to contribute to the funding of the roads they were on

likewise,, government can withdrawal their monies if they so choose to not support the signs on the roads they are helping to pay for,,,

its how we got mandatory car insurance ,,,,ask for money?,, be prepared to have some compromise amongst those providing it and those receiving it,,,

As the signs show, obama's ears are on a par with those of Mickey Mouse. Mickey is a bit more believeable however.

I think the ears on the signs are too small.

He sure is a thin skinned little whiner.
