Well since we have way too many ppl on this planet, not a bad idea. I've thought about this at times myself. After all, nature always finds a way to sort things out.
And what better way than with love, like same sex relationships. Must remind you though that many homosexual couples still have children. Same sex marriage doesn't necessarily mean no kids.

Fallacy in reasoning as gay people are born from straight so the number of gays remains relatively constant even if they adopt the children as they would not be gay any more than in the heterosexual population. Your argument is more prejudiced than accurate in content

men and women will always procreate,,,its the only way to keep the species alive

however,, it does logically stand that fewer men and women procreating will lead to fewer births

( I always put homosexual in quotes because it seems to include people who are more than able and willing to sleep with the opposite sex, but just have a PREFERENCE not to, like I have a PREFERENCE for snickers, but it doesn't mean I just cant bring myself to have an almond joy,,,lol)




so, the 'marriage' part has little to do with the procreation and therefore not so much a form of population control

You know this type of frenzied panic/scare tactic sounds like what is being taught/preached in quite a few areas of the world. In those parts of the world these same people are being taught to go out and kill homosexuals because they are "an abomination in all scriptures!"
Now the reason I know this is because there are people who have documented these teachings. I have seen one on Current TV and 2 on 1 of the Discovery Channels. Regardless if homosexuality is wrong or not, is killing other people just because their private sexual lifestyles an answer or some type of "cure"?

There have been homosexuals since the beginning of time! Get over it! How are you going to tell somebody how they should feel on the inside?

I'd like to know why people are so uptight about something that has no effect on a persons everyday life in the least. As long as they are consenting adults. Who gives a rats *** about what others do behind closed doors? Seriously is it that big of a problem for people to let others be happy with the partner of their choosing? Its every bit as prejudice as those people whom are against "interracial" dating. Seriously only crooked people are more worried about others than they are of themselves. And it is seriously appalling to think that in this day and age in this country (which is supposed to be the land of the free) people feel the need to worry about such trivial matters that have no effect on them what so ever.

We are supposed to be a country which holds life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness sacrosanct. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and so forth seem to not be so cared about in this age. People are supposed to be different and its the culmination of those differences which make this melting pot of a country so great.

And just an fyi to the opener homosexuality has been around long before our grandparents where born. So any debate about what coulda woulda shoulda is moot. If you don't believe me why do you think sodomy has a slang of "going greek" which if you don't know one of the oldest civilizations. Not that it was limited to just the Greeks either since in the bible during the old testament when god was still being the big sky bully supposedly annihilated an entire city because of the sins being committed there one of which being homosexuality. Its found in Egyptian hieroglyphics which is also one of the oldest civilizations. So just because your grandparents didn't partake in it doesn't mean it wasn't happening.

There my frustrated and slightly angry rant is now over. I should really avoid posting when I have a headache for more than a few hours.

what's with the pre-occupation some people have with Homosexuality?

I don't think anyone is advocating for killing homosexuals,,,

there are places, where thieves hands are cut off,, yet making a statement about the immorality of stealing is a far cry from advocating such violence

there are places where adultery is a capital punishment crime, and yet making a statement about the immorality of adultery is also not the same as advocating that violence

there has been objection to sodomy since the beginning of time too,

why is it those who play the guilt game on people who oppose the homosexual lifestyle,, only see that homosexuals 'feelings' matter and disregard the 'feelings' of those who oppose the lifestyle,,,?


no one can make anyone feel or do anything, but that has nothing to do with voicing opinions about what are or are not the right things to do,,,,or the wrong things

why do people assume posting opinions in an opinion forum equates to 'worrying about what others are doing'? its an opinion, sweet and simple,, just as much as anyones opinion who doesn't agree with it,,
