Let's see....a bunch of swarthy, hairy, unwashed guys packed nut to butt for months at a time on a small boat....drinking heavily, picking fights and raping whatever is available. I think they would think a lot of men on dating site's are whiners and quitters. Here's why though. Too many are quick to throw in the towel, and just give up, rather than fight for someone they want. But who said life was ever going to be easy? Sometimes you have to work for it to earn it. If you can't do that, then why bother throwing yourself in with the other sharks? You're only lying to yourself, if you know you won't be able to handle it. Part of life is being able to battle on through it. Whether I mean dating, illness, job-hunting, etc. Viking men were way tough. They didn't moan when they didn't get what they wanted.

Those guys lived in a time where a big, strong powerful guy, along with a bunch of others like him could take what they wanted. No cops to arrest them. Only opposition, and the Vikings were probably the toughest of the Germanic peoples. The Celts pretty close. Today, we call guys like that "hardcore bikers". Also, guys like that today are likely in jail or raiding the strip clubs.
