Can love, respect, and understanding stand the test of time when wives become richer and more successful than husbands?

You tell me, cos I think it is mostly the male ego that suffers from it.

Very good question man. The best av come across on mingle. Ok it depends on the woman. They can get cocky or stay the same in terms of charecter. Marriadge is a friendship and a great connection. When the love between the two is true, it should not bother the man. Her success should his success vice verser

i look at like this,,,,,,men get there identity from what the do,there accomplishments, and that they make a difference....the rub comes in is when his job [ i did not say a job as work ] as a man is taken away as a man.. woman's lib that started in the 60's ....has done a lot to hurt our relationships.......most men are looking for cue's from the women.... they did not get the message that they are to profess, protect, and provide in other words they don't know how to man up....and its not just the guys ,,,look how many woman are giving up everything to the guys without a commitment....................

Can love, respect, and understanding stand the test of time when wives become richer and more successful than husbands? Only if he loves, respects and understands her. It's really that simple. |

I think it depends on the male, I made more then my husband did and he always brought that up to me. Then when I wanted to go back to school and keep going on my career, he refused to let me. He said that I might find someone more interesting and I might leave him. Little did he know that I was doing it for us, not just for me.
I call that low self esteem if you can not trust your mate to go back to school and finish their degree to make your life better. I will never allow a man to tell me what to do ever again!! My education comes first!! |

Why should you never date a woman you meet at the laundromat?
Cause if she cant afford a washer and dryer...ain't no way she can support you. :) |

did i hear,,,ONLY if he..................is she somewhere in the equation.................. Not really...she's too busy making money. Seriously though...why would a woman have any feelings at all about the fact that what she does for a living pays better...or that she's engaged in a field she's passionate about and works more? Why would this bother a man either? If he's jealous that she is more satisfied in her career...he will not improve his own lot by putting her down. If a man loves a woman, he wants to see her in a fulfilling life. So what if she makes good money...isn't that a good thing? |

My education comes first!! Well, and here's another take. I have two cousins who married and were working in order that their husbands could finish up their degrees. As soon as they had finished their education (law school for both of them) the husbands divorced my cousins and made a life with someone else. My cousins thought they were putting their husbands through law school and it would help them. They wound up paying the price monetarily and emotionally. |
