Me- "WHY GOD, WHY!" God- "BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY!" I think it's the other guy. You know, the one downstairs saying that. |

Is it a punishment? Is it a examination? Is it a misunderstanding as to considering the qualities of being GOOD? or else..? I figure I was a terrible person in a past life and this why these awful things keep happening to me. In seriousness I believe what cases hurt is a human's innate sense to want things. The more we want, the more we hurt. I couldn't disagree more |

Commercialism only wants people to buy their merchandise, creating them to want more of what they see. When they see something they want, but don't get it? We see why with how people max out their credit cards, which only hurts the economy. |

The above is certainly true, however it doesn't answer the question why do bad thing happen to good people...I disagreed with **In seriousness I believe what cases hurt is a human's innate sense to want things. The more we want, the more we hurt. **** because this is not the reason why bad things happen to good people |

Bad things happen to everyone (was joking in earlier post, exception my being wonderful ) Positive things bring positive results. Negative feelings, thoughts etc bring negative results. Are we nice, or do we just have a guilt complex? |

Things happen That's true as well! Welcome to the forums, Miligla! |

I think bad things happen to all people, just like good things happen to all people. That's just life. It's chaotic and like one cannot flip a coin 10,000 times and always end up with heads, one cannot expect to not have bad things happen to them no matter how good they are.
I also think it's a way to learn to appreciate the good things. If we knew no struggles, suffered no misfortunes, could we even really realize how fortunate we are when things are well? Probably not, in my opinion. And since it's difficult to understand something unless you've been through it, I also think it's a lesson in compassion, so that we can sympathize with those who may need our help or support someday. People unite in difficult times. We reach out for friends and loved ones and learn to value the important things. Whether you're the person giving help or receiving it, that matters not. I think I'm a pretty good person, and I've been through some really bad things, especially as of late. I wouldn't want it any other way though. |

Bad things happen because of bad bad people. Cause and effect. You don't have to be a bad person for something bad to happen to you, but I think we get punished for our ancestors mistakes and sometimes fate has plans to test our character and endurance. #WILLPOWER#OVERCOME#

You don't have to be a bad person for something bad to happen to you, but I think we get punished for our ancestors mistakes and sometimes fate has plans to test our character and endurance. #WILLPOWER#OVERCOME# I once pondered on this. Are we being tortured at times in life, for what our ancestors did? Well, kids suffer for the sins of the parents, I know that to be true. But for what our ancestors may have done centuries ago? Hmmm? |

I've always thought that. Not all bad things are related to this but some things in our life are related. I think certain people are cursed with bad luck because of their roots. Perhaps each generation gets easier depending on how their relatives evolve. OR NOT. Who knows but it seems that way to me.

Ask Him to turn his hearing aid up while you're at it. I can't whisper in the dark any louder for God's sake! And I ain't got all life, ya know!?! I wanna enjoy some of what I got left. |
