I might would travel the world as a bum. People that would try to do me in, I'd make a hit-man wealthy. Those who were human, I'd help them and their family up. If I had unlimited funds, I'd hire folks with impeccable integrity to do the same.

Save the ocean, any clean up the ocean projects I would donate too, like the DAWN SOAP Wildlife foundation they save animals from oil spills in the ocean That would be a very big project. Gubaments have been dumping large amounts, containers filled woth nuclear waste, into the Atlanta Shelf for decades. Exactly, check out the giant heap in the pacific on the way to Hawaii

Last week I was reading an article on the water table in western kansas - about how low the water table has been drawn down due to irrigation for large monoculture farming....different solutions were being discussed including possibly desalination of ocean water to use the water in irrigation.....doesn;t make much sense for Kansas really because of how far it would have to be transported....but imagine going thru all of the expense to desalinate only to find the water unusable because of radioactive waste

Well then I guess I would donate to orgs that help villages dig wells for clean water, salvation army, and local food pantries.

The Wish Foundation.....many donate to find a cure or for treatment and then forget about those that will never be cured...... They need to enjoy something they have always wanted to see or do.....

I like MsHarmony's idea... an organization that invests in youth...they are the one's that inherit the earth and society...with out knowledge the problems, like the oceans, clean water, pollution can't be solved... Who knows how many geniuses or people with great ideas and drive have been lost because they are not given the chance to be heard... Bar that.... food banks and a donation to the Horse farm for retired (aka abandoned) race horses that we visited in Kentucky recently. (old Friends Georgetown KY)

Family & friends first, so many "organizations" have become top heavy, admin. making to much handle "donations. OPINION, Goodwill, I will never give to them again.

Lets just you had money and you were wealthy enough to donate a large amount of money to an organization. Who would it be? It's a hard choice for me, vets, I have a friend with cancer the list goes on. But I would give to women of domestic abuse because I've been there. i too have been in domestic violence and no amount of money will take away the pain or the memories, i would use it to save lives

Awesome topic pkh! I would probably donate a portion to The Jimmy Fund...a charity associated with the Boston Red Sox that helps kids and folks with cancer, in honor of my Dad who loved the Sox and passed away 3 yrs ago from colon cancer. But most of it would go to starting The Rooftop Organization. It'd be a non-profit with help for working people that meet unfortunate temporary circumstances, such as a medical issue that lands them out of work for a period of time, and would help them pay mortgage or rent briefly so they could keep a roof over their heads. I know they're working already and there are many less fortunate that aren't and need help, but in my mind I'd rather give a little to someone to keep them from going under rather than give them a whole bunch more after they plummet to the bottom. Doesn't seem to be much assistance out there for the working class poor when woes befall them. Most social services agencies and charities won't help until you've lost everything. Kinda seems backwards to me. Isn't there a saying "God helps those who help themselves"? Boy I wish I'd hit the lottery now!
