I live in a small town of about 6,000 people and I find there is not much of a dating seen here. Not many people here use dating sites, no singles bars or clubs, and it's too far to date women in other towns. I can't move to another town because I have to live close to my elderly parents. It's seems hopeless, anyone have any ideas how I can find a date?

I live in a remote area, think my village has a mere 1300 ppl and the one I lived in before only 350 (kids and women included).
If you live in a remote area/small village you simply have to be willing to travel if you want to get a date and meet someone. If not, well ...

Have an interest or hobby in something? Start your own club with it. It doesn't have to cost alot of money or take alot of time. You could meet weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly. Since you're not having to spend money on dates (yet) Advertise looking for club members in your local paper, or church bulletin. You can even just make your own flyers and put them in your local community bulletin boards or places of business windows (with their permission). Who knows, you might have alot of fun with others who enjoy the same hobby or interest AND they just might have someone they could introduce you to (if they them self aren't a member).
