Topic: Barack Obama: The Ghost of Columbia University | |
---|---|
I can bet you wouldn't find ANYONE remembering me at my college thirty years later either,, I graduated high school early, went to class with my head in the books nd went back home,, didn't socialize much at all ,,but that isn't actually the case with OBama, as the statement that no one remembers him is untrue http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/columbia.asp "the statement that no one remembers him is untrue" Really? Do you have some legitimate links that we can find the truth? Surely,he would have stood out. why would he have stood out ? One link is bad, the other two links do nothing to prove that he was a Columbia student. Who remembers him? why would he have stood out? Why wouldn't he as a non white? Every time I see a black person, I remember it for 30 years... |

well, I'm just saying. I'm sure the majority of students were white and here's this 6foot tall black guy in class. At some point he would have been noticed and remembered. Someone would have spoke to him.

someone would have spoken to him,, 400 people didn't have to,,,,,, And apparently didn't. "An editorial titled “Obama’s Lost Years,” published in the Wall Street Journal Sept. 11, 2008, noted Fox News contacted some 400 students who were at Columbia from 1981 to 1983 and found no one who remembered him". |

Why are his records sealed and have not been released? Not a common thing. |

Obama's college records are sealed like mine are sealed.
Fact Check: "Obama’s college records are not “sealed” by a court order. It would be illegal under federal law (the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) for Occidental, Columbia or Harvard Law School to give any former student’s records to reporters or members of the public without that person’s specific, written permission. Obama hasn’t released them, but neither have other presidential candidates released their college records. George W. Bush’s grades at Yale eventually became public, but only because somebody leaked them to the New Yorker magazine. Bush himself refused to release them, according to a 1999 profile in the Washington Post." |

Don't know. I'm sure most would have done so if asked. How many were asked but would not do so? You think it's uncommon for a President to keep their records sealed, but you don't know how many have kept their records sealed? Why not find out and let us know? Saying that you're sure most would have done so if asked means nothing. |

Back to the OP. A foreign student? He was supposedly there 2 years. Why does no one at CU remember him?
Professors or students? |
