You are free to do what you want...when you want...without begging for permission.

Alone is different from lonely....being lonely is a choice too.

Look at all these people here on mingle who are willing to talk to you and be your friends....we are all here for you. If you choose to be lonely.....That is a choice that we got no control over.

I totally agree - there's a huge difference between being alone and being lonely. Being alone can be a choice or not but either way, you are in control of doing whatever you wish that makes you happy. Find happiness within yourself.
Being lonely - perhaps you need to reach out to friends and family. Do volunteer work, help a neighbor or a friend, get out and go for a walk... Do something.
There are awesome people here extending their hand to you in friendship! You are blessed! Reach out, my friend!

I second or third the statements...
Being alone does not necessarily mean you have to be lonely.
:) it will all be ok, and Ouizee and the others are so very right, find things that you can do by yourself that make you content or happy. Only one person you absolutely will be with for the rest of your life- and that's you!

i'm confused... whats the drawback of being alone?

when your alone, no one is yacking in your ear about crap you don't care about...
no one is telling you what to watch on TV
can scratch your balls anytime
eat and drink what you want, when you want...
fart or burp like you want with having to excuse yourself for it
doing your dishes when you want to, rather than someone screeching about doing them now


many, many reasons more why being alone is not so bad, while i'm having trouble coming up with reasons why i wouldn't want to be alone...
