I love Tom Joyner, he reaches back and gives so often to others,,,

perhaps the tragedy behind us will start a movement of improvement ahead of us,,,,

it starts with one......it can really build up into a big difference,, where can you give back? who can you reach out to?

I don't know nothing about that girl and what was said about her. Mostly because I hate watching the news. But I will say that is pretty cool of Mr. Joyner to do that for her. I would also like to say that I think they could have chosen a better picture of him for the article. Oddly enough I think in that picture he looks kind of like BTK aka Dennis Rader. Either that or some getting ready to jump across the table at someone. Probably looks that way because because the picture is cropped down so much. But he just looks kind of creepy.

as for your question of "where can you give back? who can you reach out to?" I got enough problems of my own to deal with such as bills and stuff like that. With being unemployed it's hard to think about helping others. About the best I can do is the little things like picking an old ladies glasses she had dropped when she went to the bathroom while waiting for someone at the hospital. Or helping my mom out with stuff while she recovers from surgery.

As for the Mexican dude and Trey. I think it's messed up that it was turned into a race issue when from what I know is the Mexican dude was being attacked and acted in self defense. Now since the only ones to know the fully story are the dead guy (Trey), the Mexican (who probably for the first time in his life was called white) and maybe people who were present (not me and most likely not anyone on this site). I can't say if there was anything said between the two that elicited the attack or if the one guy just decided to be a dick and start beating him and got killed for it.

But I will say that if I was being beaten especially unexpectedly. I would not hesitate to pull a gun, a knife, a missile or anything I could to save myself from being killed. That is what self defense is all about.

That's why I ended my post the way I did. Unfortunate it got so off track the way it did. Does make me wonder about the whole stalker rapist thing though. If he only though he was being stalked and needed therapy or if he was actually being stalked. I also think it's kind of nuts though that the guy who killed him was being called white when he was Mexican. Got call him something. But was he a half breed or something? You know that a person hasn't paid close attention to the details of the Martin/Zimmerman story when that person refers to Zimmerman as being a Mexican.

Zimmerman is not a Mexican. He is a naturally-born U.S. citizen whose mother is an immigrant from Peru, which is in South America.

Mexicans and Peruvian are culturally different. They also speak different dialects of Spanish.

sounds like, a jury of white people found her non credible and an audience of americans belittled her for the culture she was a part of
