why not research it?

Many comments need to be deleted on this topic, because they are very opinionated and very little logic or real knowledge.

but we would have much shorter threads and fewer topics without such posts,,,lol laugh laugh

last I checked, Im not the only person talking about this or responding to others,, feels though like I am repeatedly singled out as the one who is somehow responsible for its popularity,,,,

but to answer the question

what I can , when I can, I have mentored teens, worked for handicapped, volunteered at shelters and food banks,,given to people on the streets,,,,,

If I had tom joyners resources, Id like to set up a program to teach female youth about respect for themselves and their bodies,,,and to create some type of mini cam device to go on clothes for citizens to have some evidence of wrong doings done against them by others,,,,from cops, to watchmen, to neighbors or strangers,,,

you?

Eventually it will be forgotten probably. Like perhaps if OJ and Elvis are seen together people will forget about Zimmerman. hahaha

here is the thing izzy, in all seriousness,,,

this case is just a SYMPTOM of larger issues that I hope DONT Get forgotten, that I hope are addressed and improved upon

like self defense or stand your ground laws which have enough grey area to give anyone that can prove they are fearful the justification to kill another person,,,,,

that's scary, to many people, many people who are minorities have children and relatives who by nature of their appearance incite in others 'fear',

many people who have children in alternate types of lifestyles like goth or urban who by nature of their appearance incite in others 'fear,

and any action they take (whether in self defense or otherwise) could be seen as an action that justifies death by condition of the jurors deciding that the defendants fear was 'reasonable'....

For my community:
I maintain a website free to promote my town and local businesses and offer free classified ads and web listings to anyone in this county.

For my family:
I have been doing home health care for my dad who had Alzheimer's until he died, and now I continue to care for my mom who is 88 years old with increasing dementia.

That is pretty much all I have time to do, but I am working on a website about personal development, health and how to make money promoting products and selling with the Internet.

I should really learn to check what I have typed before posting it. Meant to say Elvis and not evil.

Peoples fear get retarded for sure. Like after the Columbine thing, because those kids called themselves the trench coat mafia. My sister who wore a trench coat was she couldn't wear it any more to school. So she stopped wearing it and got sick. So then after being sick for so long she would have to go to school throw up and then go back home.

Rules concerning fake gun play are absurd when a child gets kicked out of school because him and a friend were pointing pencils at each other and making gun noises.

There's plenty of stupidity in the world without people over reacting and punishing people for things that shouldn't be punishable. Obviously not taking about the Zimmerman thing or I hope that is obvious. hahaha

Maybe that's what I was really thinking when I put evil instead of Elvis. Elvis is evil. rofl It's good to finally get that out there.

Seriously I've done a few things to help out people. Usually it's giving advice or maybe a person to talk to. Giving directions to the local courthouse. hahaha

My mom dad and I were at the local auto parts place when this girl asked for help finding the courthouse. I started to direct her one direction when I realized the courthouse had been moved a few years ago and combined with the jail. After trying to tell her how to get there and confusing her some from the looks on here face. We decided to just have her follow us and we could guide her there. She looked pretty thankful as we exchanged waves.

The things I've done aren't always big. But I'm sure they are appreciated. I may not be able to do anything as far as money goes. But there is always a way someone can be helped some where.

brava!

even saying thank you or paying a compliment or offering help to someone who looks like they may need it

can sometimes make a persons whole day change for the better

I did have one time I tried to help someone and they didn't need it. I think it was a few days before I had someone stop and ask me for direction some where and so this one day when I was walking home from the store and this car seemed to be pulling up next to me. I stood and waited to see what they needed. Turned out they were going to the building that was behind me. I think I recall laughing even when I found out where they were going and didn't need my help after all.

Yeah. Just funny how it turned out.

I also had an experience where I was thankful for being helped a couple times.

Once I was on my way to work. about 30 miles and 30 minutes to get there. My truck over heats on me and I start walking and I am certainly not happy. Lucky for me this couple pulled over and asked if I was the owner of the car and where I was headed. I confirm I was the owner and they gave me a ride to work. I was working at K-Mart at the time and I wish I had been a little happier and at least offered to let them use my employee discount card on anything they may have wanted. But I was still steaming and I don't think I even said thank you. Feel bad about that too.

The second time was much more recent. By family and I were driving home from an appointment I think it was when my dads truck gets a flat tire. I think we were about 6 to 8 miles from home. We tried getting the tire off and found we didn't have the tools for it. Not that we didn't have a tire iron. But we didn't have a special socket for the lugs. They were spline lugs. So I started walking home. I think I went about a mile when a woman from down the street from where I live pulled over and asked if I wanted a ride. Especially since my family was waiting for my return I accepted. Plus I didn't grab my drink. hahaha. While I wasn't able to get a tool to get the tire off. I was able to get my moms minivan and go back and get everyone who was with the truck. I did thank that person for the ride home. Still don't know for sure who she was. But she knew where I lived without me having to tell her. So she obviously knew who I was. lol
