Topic: Thousands Protest Master Z | |
---|---|
Thousands across the country.
Big country and only a few thousand think it's a big freakin deal. Looks like Big Z will go through life like all normal folks. Aside from having to live with killing to defend himself, looks like life could get normal pretty quickly. |

yeah,, not much rioting , looting, or rape
pretty much what I glean is people empathizing with the Martins have a large sense of faith/karma/justice,,,of one way or another from a facebook page... Dear George Zimmerman, For the rest of your life you are now going to feel what its like to be a black man in America. You will feel people stare at you. Judging you for what you think are unfair reasons. You will lose out on getting jobs for something you feel is outside of your control. You will believe yourself to be an upstanding citizen and wonder why people choose to not see that. People will cross the street when they see you coming. They will call you hurtful names. It will drive you so insane some days that you'll want to scream at the top of your lungs. But you will have to wake up the next day, put on firm look and push through life. I bet you never thought that by shooting a black male you'd end up inheriting all of his struggles. Enjoy your "freedom." Sincerely, A black male who could've been Trayvon Martin |

My point made.
In a year from now not many will even take a second glance at him. How many Hispanics will y'all see that you will think is him? |

That attitude will always keep you down without help from an outside source. Actually..... sounds like part of the problem.... a little racist in fact. |

Id say thats a misinformed and underinformed opinion I happen to know MANY successful black people who happen to be aware of and conscious of the very sentiment above they succeed in SPITE of , but that has nothing to do with whether they are confused about the realities they face,,,, |

My point made. In a year from now not many will even take a second glance at him. How many Hispanics will y'all see that you will think is him? Lots. I saw a guy on a commercial last night that could have been him. I mean, add a beard, and .... he is someone else. |

I saw one Pic that had to be cropped tight to make 20 people look like a big crowd.

I don't care how many people want to waste their time protesting. If the Media would ignore them they would just go home. People aren't going to do any protesting if the Media is not there. Its all a show for Media attention.
Its really pathetic. They don't really care about Travon Martin or his family. They only care about themselves and they want to intimidate the authorities to give them the blood they want. They are like a lynch mob with lynch mob mentality. |

none of those I know have just turned 17,,,,, they lived longer because they have used their heads more than their fists I know I was 21 at the time of my attack and I didn't call the police because I didn't think there would be anything they could do about it,,certainly they wouldn't waste manpower to come out to a place just because one citizen happened to be walking near another? so you learned not to trust authority figures that's how I thought at that age,,, and do you still believe not to trust authority? do you pass that on to your children? and plenty of those I know wouldn't knock on anyones door, as I said, people have been shot for that from 'fearful' residents,, a stranger following them at night, and you really believe they think their chances are better in a fistfight over asking for help the men may not call 911 and they definitely wouldn't be knocking on anyones door,,,,women might feel they would be more likely to get some assistance as opposed to being seen as a threat,,,,and they are SUCCESSFUL people,,,,so these realities are just something they are aware and cautious of,, nothing that 'defeats' them you run with a tough crowd |

I learned that an 'emergency' is not going to be considered someone following you 3. I believe 911 is for emergencies when a crime is in progress, and I have taught my children to only use it for such,,,yes 3. I do more than believe that in the process of being grabbed by someone,, the first INSTINCT will be to fight rather than try to get to some phone and call someone,,,,I know it from experience 4. I run with an AWARE crowd,,,, |

as I said, wont be the first or last time,,,,,,'justice' gets it wrong
|

justice does sometimes get it wrong. that I am well aware of myself, but I am not certain they did this time. It will be up to the Justice Dept to decide that now. They will no doubt go strictly by the book. when a man of one race kills a man of another race, it can be racism but it is not always. it can be a crime or it can be self defense. this will be up to the Justice Dept now.
Unfortunately most folk simply cannot be impartial and our justice system requires complete objectivity, fortunately. Sentiment and mob mentality (from either side) simply cannot be permitted to hold sway. I'm sure you agree. Neither can our own past esperiences cloud our judgement, but for most of us they do. That is why the law has impartiality written into it and we are judged by a jury with strict rules, and not a mob. I think it is good that the justice dept is taking a second look, but that is no guarantee of a mistrial.....but I fully believe their decision should be accepted. w/e it is. |

Continuing this narrative only plays into the distraction of Americans from topics that truly are of epic consequence to our well-being and fundamental freedoms.
To support further discussion of a page 10 issue is not only idiotic, it is dangerous! WW3 Brews As Nation Distracted By Trayvon Martin Case http://www.storyleak.com/ww3-brews-as-nation-distracted-by-trayvon-martin-case/ |

I agree with all of the above, but I would not want or expect a mistrial, (although there was confusion about the manslaughter charge which never was cleared up for the jurors) but I do want legal culpability for this unarmed childs death,,,,even in a civil trial which would only require a preponderance of evidence,,, |

WW3 Brews As Nation Distracted By Trayvon Martin Case http://www.storyleak.com/ww3-brews-as-nation-distracted-by-trayvon-martin-case/ IM quite capable of being able to think about and talk about more than one topic in a given day to those more easily 'distracted' I d say this story is the least of their concerns.. |
