I also live in an apt - I have a little garden on my patio. It's not very big - by August it will be a jungle cuz it gets so crowded!

it's easy to put tomato plants in large pots!!! and they are so much yummier than in the store (they are picked green and ripen in transit so never taste as good)waving

I grow rosemary and sage around my deck. I recently stuffed a chicken with the fresh sage and it tasted like chit.

I recently learned that the ornamental sage plant is not the same plant that you cook with.ohwell

No garden :-(

But I have all the makings of a greenhouse,
cedar planks for siding, old sliding glass
doors for the roof, just need the grunt work.

Then I will be back to ask what to do next :-)

oh goodnesss that's hilariouslaugh

sage is a strong herb you want just a small amount - combine it in with rice or bread cubes

and sprinkle some on boiled potatoes

make a safe/garlic rub for the skin of chicken AND (believe it or not) for foot odor :)

(but don't put your feet in the chicken)ill

Pick up a perennial book. Check off about 90% of the pictures (as long as they are from zone 5 or less). I have them in my garden now, or have had them and for some reason couldn't grow them, or decided not to grow them for some reason or another. You'd be surprised what you can fit into a small spaces bigsmile

I've probably posted these links of my garden areas before at some point in the past. And they are older garden pics from 2011 and I think 2010, but the flowers still come up (or some have to be re-planted each year), and still about the same. I have only added a few that aren't in there. But you'll see why it was too many to list bigsmile But I'd love to see other Mingler's gardens (always open for a garden idea)or maybe even some of your special flowers flowerforyou

Seems I didn't create an easy link huh But all you have to do is highlight the above and then right click it, and then press the "go to" in that menu. Hope that works instead of having to type it all in

I live in a small apt complex (about 14 apartments) and we have a community area behind the complex with small area of lawn and garden area this year so far I've planted 1 cherry tomato plant, zucchini, yellow squash, lemon cucumbers, bush cucumbers, spaghetti squash, just planted bok choy, spinach, and swiss chard I keep finding unused garden space so I just go ahead and plant.........love to garden.

You have a better vegetable garden than I have. I only have a 4ftx4ft box for my tomato plants. Although pumpkin seeds from my compost started to grow so I'm allowing them to grow along the outside of the box. I wish I could grow more veggies, but my flowers require too much space and I have very little space for anything else frustrated There is nothing like home grown veggies, freshly picked bigsmile You are lucky flowerforyou
