well.. spent the entire day with the 'new family'.. what a quiet baby.. not fussy at ALL.. phew for the new parents.. he looks like one of the treasure trolls though  but hey.. don't most newborns??
mom 'n baby are doing GREAT.. the dad however is a lil worse for wear.. doesn't look like he's slept in 2 days.. but he's a proud daddy and he didn't stop grinning the whole time I was at the hospital.. for some reason.. they didn't want me to go.. so I stayed with them while the 3 of 'em took a cat nap (yup.. he even grinned when he slept lol).. they looked soo happy.. reminded me of when she was born.. and I sat and quietly cried tears of wondrous joy.. what an aMAZing day.. the whole drive home, all I wanted to do was to turn around and go back.. but I contented myself, a lil while ago, with talking to them over the phone instead.. tomorrow's another day though.. and the drive.. not that far wishing everyone special moments in their lives, such as these, to cherish forever! well.. I'm wiped.. ttfn Did I hear you say the word cat? for REAL??  I was sharing an intimate moment of my life and tearing while I wrote this.. and all you got outta it was CAT??? 
*zee whistles loudly* POOF

I guess I'll have to return this baby gift that I am carrying to the store from which it came.

ignore me at the moment.. today is NOT going as well as I hoped.. think I'll go crawl back into my shell and hide out for the day.. I feel a chit storm brewing out there..

it's a heck of a lot more emotionally challenging than I ever thought it would be, becoming a grandma.. I don't think I've felt this way since I myself gave birth.. it's scary and exciting all at the same time.. magical and nightmarish.. gotta push all the thoughts from my mind to just get thru the day(AND get some sleep).. I keep reminding myself that my baby is no longer a baby, she's a mother now..
just kinda hard to get my brain around it all I guess.. but.. this too shall pass.. and life will carry on.. these are the moments I miss companionship the most though.. a shoulder to lean on.. or cry on.. anywho.. it's Monday.. holidays are pretty much over.. and I have to focus on the day.. hopefully bury myself in work till all these emotions pass... |

I must say.. I'm feeling MUCH improved.. had time to sort a few things out in ma brain AND had a nice long chat with my youngest AND a friend.. today IS a better day.. things are calm and they're ALL going home.. nice!
thankfully I'm still kinda on holidays.. so methinks I'll head out for a bit of fresh air and a walk to clear any remaining cobwebs.. cheers

tis Tuesday mornin.. nothing exciting bout that but.. I DID sleep well finally  that sense of foreboding finally passed..
well.. just waitin on the work fairy to wave her magic wand.. in the meantime.. guess I'll do some more yard work

Hello Zee,
I'm Sperenza, nice place you've got here. I like the atmosphere. Hope u don't mind me passing thru in and out for a coffee and maybe a beer after work. I can totally feel what u said about having that shoulder to lean on at certain times. U brought a tear to my eyes to be honest. I guess as women sometimes we really need that extra TLC sometimes when we're overwhelmed.
Your Grandson is completely adorable. He looks like u to me. His mouth, cheeks etc. Its a blessing to be able to see ur grandchildren and to have that hope that a part of u will always be on earth living on and contributing to the existence of mankind/the world . I don't have any kids yet (lost my first pregnancy ever last year:( and I sometimes feel like an endangered species being and only child and all. That too is depressing at times, so thank ur lucky stars and smile with every step. You're doing great. Have a fantastic day, Love Sincerely SS |
