25 days since the last post what a lively bunch we are. We have to be the worst forum in all the states and countries on mingle. I think myself and Motown have tried a couple times to perk this forum up. Nothing going on in Wisconsin?

It depends on what you are talking about...

In my opinion, since I am a native of Wisconsin, I know from experience that people stay involved with living life, there is no need to sit in front of a PC connecting with other people. There is plenty going on in Wisconsin, they connect in person rather than online.

i also am a native and I agree plenty to do. But this is a chat forum and why don't people chat up Wi. By the way welcome have never seen you and I've been here awhile

Thanks for the welcome. I've been a member of Mingle2 for a couple years but mostly just read what other members had to say when I visited the forums.

I keep an eye on the Wisconsin forum but as you noted it is not a active forum.

I no longer live in Wisconsin but get back to visit frequently, it will always be where my heart lingers. The culture is as no where else, it offers the best of everything that is important, something for everyone. Most of the people are hard working and motivated.

yes they are I love it even the winters been here 56 years and won't leave I'm in the Milwaukee area. Lived up in Minoqua for 5 years beautiful there but my kids missed there dad so moved back

We have a beautiful zoo a nice art museum. We have during the summer one of the largest music festivals in the. I don't go anymore to many people. The new Harley museum lots of church festivals.The lakefront by Lake Michigan that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

The same things are happening in Milwaukee that have been happening since 1840; People are drinking beer, eating sausages, and freezing their butts off in the winter.

If they live in Wisconsin they don't have time to pop in, they are too busy drinking or nursing a hang over when they are not trying to impress someone with their many accomplishments or future plans.

Remember, I proudly proclaim to be from Wisconsin. I've walked many miles mingling with people living in Wisconsin. I would return in a heart beat if it wasn't for my family living here in Missouri.

That's so true there like a bar on every corner in certain areas

When I grew up a bar/saloon/tavern was where the folks, including the children gathered, mingled for socializing. If someone had one too many, the cops would see to it they got home safe.

I have found in my travels that in many regions there is a church on every corner, and everyone is judging their neighbor. I grew up God fearing but find many things done in the name of religion appalling.

So which is better too much to drink or too much religion?
