Morning everyone... Another huge storm last night, power off all night, big trees down, cornfields flattened, one fire dept lost their building and trucks, roofed collapsed, a few men hurt..winds over 80 mph.. Yes, my roof was fixed yesterday, now so many shingles gone they may just replace whole roof.. Not supposed to rain anymore for 5 days...Some places may not have power for up to a week... Glad you finally got that roof fixed, sorry your weather seems so severe. Makes me feel just a smidgen guilty that the weather here today was really nice.... But I guess the weather has to do what it has to do. Hope it gets better for everyone and cooperates for those who need it to

Betty you should post pics of your counter & sink. Did you change the color of your counter drastically from the first one, or stick close to your original? I'll bet after waiting so long it's going to be sheer pleasure to be cooking in there, well for a little while anyway

did you rob a bank???? All that home improvement you're doing !  No lol. This was an emergency , my tap broke right in my hand and I have been without water in my kitchen for three weeks. The wood was rotted and I have to replace the countertops. Expensive...but needed. Ouch !! At least you got to eat out for three  weeks !! You've had that house awhile haven't you?. Sounds like my old house at the lake !! Oh yeah its an old house. I have lived here 30 years. Always seems something is needed. I haven't been eating out, getting pots of water from the bathroom. Its been awful. Actually its been longer than three weeks I think. But tomorrow it will be all done...I hope. I hope so for your sake...why did it take so long? Money for one thing. THen I had to get out a contactor for measurements., then I had to pick out the countertop. sink and tap. Then it had to be ordered and fit me into their schedule. Lots of rig a more roll. yep, y'all do things different up there..we'd have turned off the water, went to Lowe's or home depot and got the stuff to do it that evening....no contractor or whoever..a couple of tools and it'd been done. Actually I'm talking about my own family..we do all of our own work..When I moved to the lake, I built a room on the house myself and my son Eddie came and did all the plumbing..my other two sons did my electoral work. |
