Shopping for a wedding shower gift today for my great niece is on my agenda..

Power was out for 2 hrs last night, big thunderstorm..
I don't mean to complain as I know a lot of the country needs rain, but we have had way too much of it here, sometimes getting 4-5 inches at a time...

How is everybody today?
Toronto got hit really bad last night. They got a months worth of rain in one hour. They had to rescue people off the Go
train in boats.
A Three hundred thousand dollar Ferrari was completelt submerged in water and is totalled.
People were stranded with no way to get home. Hydro was out. Its awful.
Toronto is about an hour from me.

I notice it's the afternoon over yonder, but here in the refrigerator, it's 10, 14am. I hope all are well & warmer than I am. This is how I should be , with the electric blanket turned up high

cause the electricity in my grandson's new apt wouldn't work..and we had to work in there!

But it is working now, so I'm happier.

Glad you got your air conditioning back on Viv. If I had to paint in that heat I think I'd wear shorts and a bathing suit inside out (to protect them from paint) and jump in the shower every now and then just to keep cool A few little water drips here and there on the floor would dry pretty quickly in that kind of heat. I'm pleased that it was a little cloudy and cooled a little bit here Oh and thanks guys.... all that "Happy" spread here has the "Happy,Happy..Joy,Joy" song in my head now

Well it is good to have everyone so happy. It makes it harder for me to be grumpy. Now if I can find the thread where everyone is smiling with satisfaction maybe that will rub off too .

Morning Everybody: COFFEE I bought some of those flavored creamers I like. French Vanilla or Southern Pecan Anyone? I see clouds outside, that means a little cooler here again. But I suppose it also means that there will be some humidity as pay back at some point. I know.... it is summer and summer is supposed to be hot & sunny

Morning everyone... another bad thunderstorm last night with power off for a couple of hours...again! My roof leaked again, same spot(after they replaced a lot of shingles.. I keep telling them it is running under the shingles but they think I don't know what I'm talking about...my dad was a roofer and I was on the roof at age 13 helping him, he taught me alot..

My county + 2 others are under a flood watch, river is high..some roads are flooded..

Betty..glad you are safe ....Viv, glad your power is back on...
