Well, usually I go to some town for fireworks. But it was so hot yesterday I decided to stay home and watch them on TV in a nice air conditioned room
I hope everyone had a great 4th It's been officially called a "heat wave" here in New England  Glad I have my kiddie pool out back Although I still want to call it an "outisde sitting tub"

has been a good thing for me. I haven't even gotten sunburned (yet). That is almost a mini-miracle in itself I'll have to post pictures of it, you could laugh....but it keeps me cool in this hot weather

I think I meet all of the qualifications to be here ...
Over 50 and up at some unfortunate hour of the morning. Hello all. I am obviously new and trying to find my way around. Does anyone know where the coffee filters are kept? I don't mind making a new pot, but I don't want to put new coffee on top of the old grounds ... :-) |

Morning Vivian, morning everyone
Although you've been up so long now you must be thinking about lunch time  You didn't hide the coffee filters from the newbie did you?  We do have coffee too don't we? I hate a 2nd run coffee (that's worse than scraping out the coffee and re-using the filter when you run out of filters)  But you have to do what you have to do sometimes to get that caffeine in the morning to start the day

When I was in the Navy out to see for many weeks, sometimes we would run out of coffee ... In that case just put hot water in your cup and stir. Instant coffee was never as good as fresh though. Some people wonder why old sailors never washed their coffee cups.
