Topic: Just got back...

Tell us how your love travels went.I just got back... Traveled 3000 miles to meet up with an old flame of 20yrs. First couple of days were fine but she was working so I hung out at her place with her 2 dogs & 2 cats when boredom set in, so I decided to vacuum her place(had enough coughing up hair balls)... When she got home, she was offended that I cleaned? Strike one! Indoor Chain smoker that never thought of stepping outside to light up! Strike 2! Her 14yr old boy had the ballz to go through my wallet and help himself to a few bucks???? STRIKE 3!!!! I was gone! Packed up, called a cab and booked the rest of my time at a nearby resort without them. Played golf, lounged poolside and had a blast!

Awww babycakes, I'm so sorry it didn't live up to the dream :-( The good part is, no equivocation, right? None of the 'Oh, I could live with this, or I could overlook that' kind of sitch, it was all horrid :-) And you could have come here! Four golf courses within a 20 minute drive, and FREE at the Casino one where krupa works. And you can vacuum all you want.

so does that mean we're back on for Greece in September??? sorry to hear it didn't work out as hoped John.. did you drop kick the kid?? I would've.. sheesh.. some people's kids huh... the one that had the REAL ballz here was you.. taking a chance on love and flying 3000 miles!! good for you.. and glad you took the high road and stuck around the area and had fun reGARDless.. alls well that ends well huh.. you can always come over and clean MY house if'n yer bored again though.. it's only 30 miles oh yeah.. and I promise NOT to complain welcome back

Sometimes the memory does not match up with the reality.You deserve credit for the 3000 mile trip, smart of you to salvage your vacation.

Did you not know she was a smoker before you visited? I mean, it is her place, right? So she had the right to smoke inside, yes? I would never dream of cleaning someone's place while they're gone or get mad about where they smoked. The kid stealing money would be enough of a reason to leave, though.

what sing said is why I said "just wow" in accepting her hospitality there is a line that's not to be crossed in expectations/criticisms of her housekeeping - once you accept a free place to stay it's nice to appreciate her generosity (I would not let you stay at my place....for example) or make other arrangements which you finally did. that is why it is probably best to make your own lodging arrangements when traveling rather than staying with others. especailly if u are a fussy housekeeper, don;t smoke, or have a strict schedule/diet....etc (I'm all of the abouve myself) I also agree that the money her son took needs to be returned to you and that was completely unacceptable under any circumstances. but I think it's wrong to be on here trashing her.
