Topic: John Conyers condemns Louis Farrakhan’s racism | |
---|---|
From a May 23, 2013 CBS Detroit story:
A Michigan congressman has apologized after attending Louis Farrakhan’s appearance at a Detroit church during which the Nation of Islam leader made anti-Jewish remarks.
U.S. Rep. John Conyers joined Detroit City Council member JoAnn Watson and others at Fellowship Chapel for Farrakhan’s Friday speech. The Chicago-based minister denounced “Satanic Jews” and the “synagogue of Satan” that he said controls major U.S. institutions and said President Barack Obama has “surrounded himself with Satan … members of the Jewish community.” In a statement out Thursday, Conyers said, “Farrakhan made unacceptable racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic statements” that Conyers condemns “in the strongest possible terms.” Tell me again why anyone opposed to racism would speak favorably about Louis Farrakhan? |

I wasnt there to understand his context, so I cant say,, I also happen to believe Jewish money(ie , money that traces back to jewish people or jewish founded organizations and companies) runs most of media,,,,whether its good or bad is not really something that Im firm about,,,, |

Are you suggesting that U.S. Rep. John Conyers is making a false claim of racism? Im suggesting that his PERCEPTION may be wrong,,,, What if his perception ISN'T wrong? I wont know unless I can hear it for myself. I know though that in the past he has explained the seperation of describing 'satanic jews' who are false in their religion, compared to describing ALL JEWS,,,, its possible, conyers, like many dont have any context other than negative media and ADL allegations of farrakhans philosophies or beliefs and only hear in the term 'satanic jews' a condemnation against all jews,, which it may not have been at all,,,, |

So, there are two possibilities.
A) A Democrat member of the Congressional Black Congress is seeing/hearing racism where there isn't any. B) A black Muslim is practicing and preaching racism. |

So, there are two possibilities. A) A Democrat member of the Congressional Black Congress is seeing/hearing racism where there isn't any. B) A black Muslim is practicing and preaching racism. both possible, as well as c) a politician feeling heat to denounce something that he may or may not actually understand,,, |

c) a politician feeling heat to denounce something that he may or may not actually understand,,, Which is the same as A) A Democrat member of the Congressional Black Congress is seeing/hearing racism where there isn't any. |

c) a politician feeling heat to denounce something that he may or may not actually understand,,, Which is the same as A) A Democrat member of the Congressional Black Congress is seeing/hearing racism where there isn't any. well, not quite,, but close enough you dont feel pressured to hear something, you either heard it or you didnt now, he may have thought he heard something that he didnt,,, and then he could have never thought he had heard anything until he felt pressured to read something else into it,,, |

You didn't answer my previous question. What if Rep. Conyers' perception ISN'T wrong? what if? if he isnt wrong, than he isnt wrong,,, thats as far as we can really take a what if...... Actually, we can take it farther. If Rep. Conyers' perception ISN'T wrong, then a person who follows the teachings of Louis Farrakhan is a person who follows the teachings of a racist. |

Conyers' perception ISN'T wrong, then a person who follows the teachings of Louis Farrakhan is a person who follows the teachings of a racist. define 'follows'....does that mean someone who leads their life by every word out of farrakhans mouth,, doing that with any man is a mistake... if it means agreeing with anything he says, than Im guilty, and probably guilty of 'following' of a few sexist and bigots too as Ive said before, there is no human that is right or wrong 100 percent of the time a valid lesson, a fact,or a truth, remains a valid lesson, a fact or a truth, regardless of who speaks it,,, |

Nice play with words Harmony. As you have shown there is always a way to manipulate them to cover the truth on any subject.
I take it that Farrakhan is a bigot and didn't vote for Rahm Emanuel. |

I take it that Farrakhan is a bigot and didn't vote for Rahm Emanuel. no intention to play with any words if you know of a perfect person who you agree with on 100 percent, or who speaks and does 100 percent correctly,,,,,you are certainly an exception the idea that anyone that has anything wrong with their words or actions is automatically wrong in anything they say or do is a fallacious one,,,,as is the idea that agreeing with someone is the same as 'following' them Farrakhan is labeled a bigot by many, its a matter of opinion I suppose and I dont know who he voted for,,,or why that would be relevant,,, |

Don't know how else you can perceive "satanic Jews" and Synagogue of Satan" any other way other than being anti-Semetic. |
