Oregon coast is really beautiful ! Nice place to live Cool little bay in the photo too I always wanted to take my time and sight see/camp out my way up from the California coast up into Oregon and Washington Some nice spots all up and down the coast ! OOOH i can still remember that fresh crab and seafood..... It's a beautiful drive, you can go fast, up I5, or slow along the cliffs on 101, holler us up if you come this way, we have a crab trap :-) ~~~ And geppetto55, you should have seen the look on krupa's face when he said, 'you just HIT it with the hammer', which I did, and COVERED him in crab splatter :-)

When I was a kid, we went to Galveston and caught blue crabs. We boiled them up in a #3 tub and sat around the fire all night. Glad ya'll had fun. Funny how everyone recalls crabbing as kids, great memories, eh? ~~~ And Winlei, I always had someone do it for me also, doing it yourself puts a whole new spin on it, you have to like, EARN the meat :-)

I've never been to that event, but I've had crab on the Oregon coast several times. And of course Mo's Clam Chowder We are on the same street as Mo's actually, you can watch the crabbers while dining there :-) ~~~ And Cutiepieforyou, it was real fun, and the crabs have to be a minimum size or you have to toss them back, I think it is 6 3/4 inches across the back, er, top, for males.

We have one here to in Little River South Carolina.To much fun Blue crabs and other Sea food, hot sauce and of course cold beer! Heaven on earth for sure. Ya, we were the first ones in, we had gone early and did some Christmas shopping, then hiked back to the harbor, by the time we were finishing up at the table the place was packed. Hammers agoing everywhere :-)

He is a great picture taker, and the weather was freakily gorgeous that day :-) ~~~ Twas more than fun Kristi :-) He has been working so hard tis hard to get away so it meant a lot to us, on a perfect day :-)

....and Geppetto....lots of meat in the body...and Soufie went straight up "Conan the Barbarian " with that crab hammer...I had crap all over me after her first couple of hits. Good times. :) Ha! thanks for the cwab info, and great Conan visual Krupa! That got me laughing. Dunno what I was thinking when I signed up using Geppetto for a handle. Well, I put off trying it for years, based on the name alone, I thought how good could it be after lobster and shrimp? Oh man. It is unlike anything else, mild, tangy, meaty, sweet, salty, and even though we had butter and lemon handy we did not use either it was soooo good all alone. Freaking delicious. You have to try it :-)
