#10 is DEAD ON! I unfortunately have met and even shortly dated women like that. The general rule is this, Ignorance of a certain subject or lack of knowledge of certain things. Does not make you stupid, Anyone can learn. What makes someone an idiot is when they refuse to learn and decide they know everything. Then argue with you for the sake of acting witty. I'd say this is probably the worst kind of woman to date and should be avoided at all cost. Well, to be fair to women, they probably should avoid certain kinds of men. |

Dodo_David, excuse me if my style of paragraph didn't agree with you. That's all you managed to pick up from my rebuttal? I did mention that I am writing from my cell. Go back and read that portion. It ended up a page before my rebuttal. Jeanniebean, you didn't even try to read my "gob of rant"? Shouldn't you be rude to the writer of the rant who cut down women instead of to me? I tried to defend my sisters, unlike you. You must be the type who nods and smiles and goes along with anything a man says so you can please him and this way you won't end up alone. Guess what? With that attitude towards your fellow sisters, you will be very alone.

I'm fed up with men who are unworthy moaning about how women treat them badly. These types of men bring it on themselves with their crap attitude and behavior. It would be refreshing to see women back me up instead of cowering in the corner, afraid to displease any men by speaking out. Grow some ladies, please. You may as well since some men are obviously missing these. They are afraid of strong women. That doesn't mean we should become weak to placate them. Some women even go as far as to dumb themselves down so men won't be intimidated by her intelligence and will find her more attractive if they are led to believe that they are smarter than their women. I find this pathetic, don't you?

First of all, 'wall of text' posts are notoriously hard to read, so don't be surprised that few people bother to do so. I'm typing this on my phone, and I'm still using paragraph breaks. Please consider making the effort. Secondly, before you go bashing your "sisters" here, you might try actually reading what the women here have posted, as you clearly have not done so. (Either that, or you have a very different view of what constitutes speaking up from the other 99% of the population.) |

I'm fed up with men who are unworthy moaning about how women treat them badly. These types of men bring it on themselves with their crap attitude and behavior.
A lot of women treat men badly and a lot of them "moan" about the same issue. It's not a one-sided occurrence. And not all men bring this on themselves; there are a lot of times when the women are the ones "bringing it on" and by no fault of the man's. They are afraid of strong women. That doesn't mean we should become weak to placate them.
There's a big difference between a woman who is strong and a woman who is simply a *****. Some women even go as far as to dumb themselves down so men won't be intimidated by her intelligence and will find her more attractive if they are led to believe that they are smarter than their women. I find this pathetic, don't you?
If women do this then that's by their choice, not any fault of the man's. And you're right—it is pathetic. I'm not intimidated by a woman with intelligence anymore than I'm intimidated by a woman who is strong, as long as she is still a woman with feelings, compassion and all the traits that make her a woman. |

Well, to be fair, feelings and compassion are by no means the exclusive province of women. They are human characteristics necessary for healthy functioning in both genders.

I like this idea that anyone that doesn't show solidarity with her sisters is condemning herself to being alone for a long time. You would think that it would be the other way around and doing things "just to please men" would make it easier for her to get one.

I can agree with everything you have said here mckinnon - it goes for both genders pretty equally some PEOPLE can be great & some pretty manipujlative....but times it is just a personality/style conflict & times to part as frieds becos of that blame accomplishes nothing |
