We all have cherished advice from cherished mentors (mothers, fathers, grandparents, favorite aunts, uncles, teachers, older siblings, etc).

What's the best advice you've gotten from a "contemporary"?




-As a teen at one of my first jobs, I was "doing the hokey-pokey" not knowing where to start an incredible amount and volume of different tasks.

A friend/workmate said, "Don't think about it, just rush it Man".

Ever since then, when overwhelmed, I just pick a point and "GO".
It may not be the right "point", but I always figure it out. I know since then that I just have to Start.

Has a friend ever helped you out like that?

My old college roomie told me "Let's get drunk". I really wish I hadn't listened to that guy so much....but he was LOTSA fun to be around!

Both 15 and of similar mindsets, but my buddy was smarter than I on this day. He said,


"What the !V<# do you mean....you're *playing hard to get*?" (I don't even remember where I got THAT BS).....but I remember him going on...

"Does she even KNOW that you are PLAYING? You'd better go talk to her Dude!"
