Self confidence comes when you finally accept yourself as the remarkable person you are. You learn your faults through time and mistakes, you try to learn from them and become a better person. Yet, you know you will always do some things wrong, say somethings wrong... and you accept it. Because the good traits, as well as the bad, are what make you who you are. You are the only one like you in the whole world! People aren't always going to agree with you, they aren't always going to like you, but if you accept yourself, just as you are... then the thoughts and opinions of others carry less weight with you. You can agree to disagree and respect the opinions of those around you, because you respect your own opinions as well.

Accepting yourself is not easy, we are often very hard on ourselves... but it is possible. It just takes time.

Anyway, that's my opinion. ;)

Sweetie, give yourself time. Just try not to be too hard on yourself. I'm sure you will do great! Good luck. :)

Self-confidence can only START with an attitude change. You need to have something to base the attitude on, in order to really feel confident. So if you can write well, but have trouble speaking in public, practice reading what you've written. In front of a mirror, alone in your bedroom, whatever. Keep it really short at first. Maybe you could ask your best friend to help you role play a little.

One important part of the attitude change is to keep reminding yourself how much better you'll feel after you've been successful. Praise yourself for what you've done right, and be easy on yourself about the things that didn't go so well. We're always harder on ourselves than anyone else is.

I did it several times but the thing is if im in someone's prescence i easily get nervous....and for the attitude,, I can deliver it well when im angry... And i know this is not acceptable,, you cannot just be angry just because you need to deliver your thoughts..

i agree with bravalady. confidence building starts with being nude in front of a mirror with a good camera phone. picture message what you see to complete strangers you encounter (especially if they post on mingle2) and just feel the confidence build as the reply messages pour in with requests for more pictures. i guarantee i guarantee that if the mirror is too big of a step, there is always reflectoporn. if you want to practice, message me for my cellular telephone number pitchfork

That is not what i mean.....,why would i degrade myself by doing that... My point is to deliver my speech, to share my thoughts, views, opinions( i know they havecthe same meaning...lol)to the public or to someone without stuttering...

you are probably right. building confidence is harder one person at a time, so sending a nude picture to just one person isn't going to work. posting a nude picture on hornymanatee.com will build your confidence much quicker as thousands of people will be able to see you instead of just one. i suggest taking several different poses and if you need help deciding which one would be best, you could email them all to me and i will help you pick one. i guarantee i guarantee that i will enjoy helping you, especially if it becomes a daily ritual pitchfork

You have a really friendly smile. I think that's a good feature to have :). You come across as quite sweet, so always a good thing. How about listing things about yourself that you like, and don't list any cons?

It depends on the topic for me. Certain things I have high self-confidence with things I know a lot about while others I have low. Some say keep trying a practice and that may be true. I am currently taking kickboxing classes to build self-confidence in one area I see that I may have low self-confidence. I usually avoid fights because I always fear to I would loose badly. By taking these classes I hope to build that self-confidence so I can defend against an attackers and protect the ones I love.

I also don’t see myself having high self-confidence asking a girl I like out or for her number. That is something I have being trying to work on the past few years. I can start up talking about politic, the bible, cultures, music, movie and many other things with almost anyone, but asking a girl out is still hard for me.

Good advice. An odd aspect of shuttering is that people who stutter, can sing without stuttering. Actors who stutter can act without stuttering.

Decide how you want to be, then "act" that part. Before long, you may find that you don't have to act the part of yourself. It just becomes yourself.

Im an actress(not in tv). By acting you can hide everything about you and play another role. Been there done that. I dont want to put a mask on and just want to be myself. Whenever i want to open myself someone closes it down. I never praise myself because im comparing myself to my sisters. Im insecure of the the things around me. From family to school to my relatives.

You misunderstand. The role I was suggesting you play was yourself.

Confidence is part of surviving honey. And you gotta survive to live. And if you want to LIVE, you gotta have confidence. Simple as that. ANYTHING you have to get through, move past, over come, say, do, have, fix, forget, let go of or hold on to. You have to have confidence in there somewhere.

You want to "live", really live the life you have been given. Trust me will find the confidence.
