At first I thought I had my settings wrong. Nope. I'm listed as a straight female seeking a male. So then why are all the ads on my mingle screen showing me pictures of WOMEN near me? Why am I being offered an all I can eat buffet of (probably fictional) women? Why am I not being shown hunky fictional men?

I don't want to date an Asian woman damn it! I want some THUNDER DOWN UNDER!

That's interesting. I'd have thought the ads would be more targeted than that. But, it seems you're seeing the same ads I am.

Maybe it's because the ads work? Women's magazines usually have a cover photo of a woman because it sells more than covers with photos of men. In fact, the only magazines you see with men on the covers are aimed at gay men.

I suppose you could try changing your profile to say you're a gay man, but it probably won't get you the kind of mail you're looking for. Better to ignore the ads and use Google images when you want to look at hunky fellas.

You're not alone! I've had a bizarre mix of photos including a couple of men wearing dresses; one with a moustache; neither with wigs... a lot of 18 to 20 somethings, both male and female from far away locations; re checked my settings and all was fine. It cleared up after several days...weird. Just enjoy the show while it lasts...
