ain't no one ever told you to buy Shoes according to your Feet,NOT according to your Head?

I have three simple ones

1. dont look for a woman to 'complete' you,, be already complete and happy with yourself

2. If you do find that person who makes you better and makes life happier,,, dont lose them,,,,

3. When you attract what you want, remember to be what they want too,,,(ie, dont get comfortable and slack off because you think you 'have' them)

Always hold ur promises no matter big or small.
Its a priviledge for u both to have found each other so treat each other with respect.
She ur other half not ur mother or ur maid.
Keep her happy since to miserable people eaquals one lonely one.
Trust is very important. Never ever break it.
Communication is key. If there is no communication there is on flesh and even that fades.
If u did find that special someone make sure that ur the same since sometimes the word "special" has a different meaning.

Sorry I know its more than five but I've concluded that men need more than one rule since we as men can do many wondorous things. And many more stupid ones.

The "Rules" I gave my sons were;

Pick someone you like; you have to live with her. Don't marry anyone to please anyone but you. If you are happy I will live with it.

Pick someone who likes you; if not you will never be able to change enough if she doesn't.

Pick someone with family you like. She will be more like them as time goes along and you will have them in your life forever if you have kids.


Pick someone who makes sex a gift; if sex starts out a barter that will never change and as time goes on the price will only get higher and more unbearable.

Pick someone you don't have to start out as a hero because you will soon become the villian in her life and she in yours.

Don't "screw" anything you don't want to bet your life on or have a kid with because you are risking both since birthcontrol is NOT 100%.

Marry in haste and you will suffer slow motion. Take your time and get it right.

Pick someone to marry that no matter how many kid's she has your up for it because they will be yours, currently biologically or not, to support according to the state and they have long fingers to get into your pockets.

Pick someone who does NOT self inflict illness and disability because there is enough of that in life without someone volunteering you for it.

Pick someone who manages money and does not let money, or the lack of it manage her. Money may not make a relationship but it can sure make more than it's fair share of relationships miserable.

That isn't five things but if you think it only takes five things to make relationships work you are only half in the process or less.
