Topic: Seeing No Evil | |
---|---|
-evil has been there and will be there, certainly killing native americans and taking their land was not a 'good' thing -enslaving a people based upon their ancestry, and enslaving and raping their children was not a 'good' thing -treating a race of people systematically as second class, less than human,, was not a 'good' thing -taking God out of the schools was not a 'good' thing -pushing homosexuality into the mainstream was not a 'good' thing,,, Evil has escalated...and continues to worsen. When moral values are overrided by radical rebellious thought; Disregard for human life and well-being. Evil today is a dark horse called "liberalism". And that beast has many riders. Liberalism is anti-christ and anti-American As mentioned before America has much good in it. There are many things that need repair, starting with our educational system,... but to let it America dissolve would be a terrible disaster. Or to let it evolve into a socialistic society will have dire consequences. I just disagree instead of the blatant evil of yesteryears we have a more subtle evil that hides behind good intentions,,, Yes, liberalism. "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Matthew 24:12 I dont think there is a way to quantify evil enough to determine if it has 'grown' "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2Timothy 3:13 (I'm referring to scripture because you say you are a Christian. You are, aren't you?) lol, in truest form,,,,, Timothy discuesss the last days, of which no man shall know the date Im sure God is capable of such a measure, such awareness, but men, not so much I dont consider myself God,, do you? Oh...did you take a little peek in the Bible? keep it up you may get the right idea. I don't claim to be God. We Christians, including you and other's who claim to be, are ambassadors for Christ). "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." 2Corinthians 5:20 Like Obama said back then, "you folks haven't been reading your bibles" Your liberal leaders are counting on you all to keep your Bibles closed! high horse much? whatever floats your boat, keep judging but remember, even the devil has memorized the scriptures God is more in our behaviors and our actions and our hearts, he provides us with the guidance of the bible, but even those without access to a bible or ability to read can be 'christian', and many of them more christian than those who can repeat chapter and verse for their own purposes,,, No high horse here. No unrighteous judging! Christians are encouraged to discern between righteousness and unrighteousness. So that type of judging is kosher, msharmony. I dont recall the question being askd whether an action or word is christian I specifically recall having my christianity questioned I also dont recall Christ using a tone of voice to try and elevate himself above others,,, but maybe I just dont know my bible as well as better christians,, ![]() |

No, you are not judging righteously. All that you are doing is promoting political ideology in the name of Christianity. Well, here is a news flash: The Christian faith is politically neutral. |

I find it puzzling that someone would mix or meld their conservative beliefs with their Christian religion and then deduce that liberalism is evil.
Very strange indeed. ![]() but very interesting.... ![]() |

Has to get cold way up there...
You can accurately place all of the political turmoil firmly in religion's hands, and I am being quite bias here...But the fires in the Middle East still rage just like the Crusades raged their own. |

I dont know if my beliefs are liberal or conservative, as I have stated several times on several threads disagreeing doesnt mean Im defensive either anymore than trying guilt and condescention means one is on the offensive,,,, just means I disagree,, but if the label of 'evil' makes one feel better about their own place in the world go for it,,, |

I find it puzzling that someone would melt their conservative beliefs with their Christian religion and then deduce that liberalism is evil. Very strange indeed. ![]() It is called phariseeism. At times, all that you can do about it is to ignore it. dodo, You should have ignored this thread from the beginning. Try practicing what you preach and "ignore" more articles in these threads. Because you make it your duty to sit back and judge the slightest opinions in these threads. It is quite common for you to pop in and correct everyone. I find it ironic that a highly pharisaic individual has the gall to accuse anyone else of being so. Can you not see that your "horse" sits pretty high? For the record...in the future, I will try to ignore your popups. |

Liberalism is evil to me because I have watched it for many years becoming so. I see the "political correctness", the warped values, the turning of directions, the lies, the promises (including the broken ones) and the lack of responsibility. I have seen what it has done to our schools, workforce, citizens, and politicians.
I see the hypocrisy. |

its foolish to even make 'evil' a political party issue at all

its foolish to even make 'evil' a political party issue at all First of all, liberalism isn't necessary specific to a particular political party. Second, it does no good to quote Bible verses without demonstrating that the verses apply to what you are talking about. For example, earlier in this thread, the following was quoted: ""But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." Quoting the statement proves nothing. Besides, I didn't know that evil men were lousy at waxing. By the way, what are they waxing? surfboards? |

I didn't know that evil men were lousy at waxing. By the way, what are they waxing? surfboards? I think it's a financial term used by moneylenders, or as we call them today "Bankers", after all, they are the most evil men in existence, and probably arranged the "whacking" of Christ for getting mad at them. Come to think of it, Christ had them pinned all along. If people are so "christian", why do they have anything to do with the first Antichrist? Don't they know their eternal souls hang in the balance?...or is it that a Saviour who told them to give away their money if they wanted salvation was too much of a leftist liberal? |

Liberalism is evil to me because I have watched it for many years becoming so. I see the "political correctness", the warped values, the turning of directions, the lies, the promises (including the broken ones) and the lack of responsibility. I have seen what it has done to our schools, workforce, citizens, and politicians. I see the hypocrisy. It may not be perfect but to call it "evil" is a bit extreme. It may not be progressive or productive but evil? No. There are a lot of symptoms of evil apparent in everything. But just like shades of gray, there are many different ways to look at both sides of the coin of "liberal" and conservative. They both embody "evil" of their own making. |
