as an interesting exercise...make a written list of 100 things that you would require of someone in a very close relationship...then arrange them in order of importance..amazing how much nit picky stuff we require

* between 35 and 48 years old
* who has a career/goals
* honest
* who challenges me to be better
* who is self-confident
* who helps me through when I am sad
* who listens and actually pays attention
* who looks at me with that special glare
* spontaneous and fun
* who notices the small stuff
* who compliments me especially in front of people
* who respects me
* who gives me space
* who is romantic (holding hands, cuddling)
* who betters himself
* who does not cheat/ only has eyes for me
* who knows how to compromise and sacrifice for
the relationship

I guess I'm not too picky just these requirements:

-She must in fact be a woman... I'm not sure I'd care if not for the fact i want to have children someday and I can't do that with a man-lady.

-I would prefer her to be roughly my age and in good health... I have this crazy idea of giving us a better chance that if one of us dies, the other doesn't have to suffer very long before they too pass on. Other than that concern, I don't really care about age.

-I MUST LIKE her... Because I just couldn't spend my whole life with a jerk.

Constant Hugs of course

IF I were looking for a partner, (which I'm not, as I'm having a whole hell of a lot of fun without one these days), there are only a few qualities I'd require as absolutes MUSTS:

1) Superior intellect

2) Compassion/understanding

3) Excellent communication skills

and

4) Open-mindedness

Oh and I almost forgot the most important qualification of all, the ability to juggle strudel while playing Alexander's Ragtime Band on the accordion. :)
