Be careful what you pray for. I know a woman whom I though would never ever quit smoking. She was hopeless addicted. So she prayed to God to help her quit. Shortly afterwards, she was smoking while on oxygen and lit up a cigarette and her face caught on fire. She was badly burned. If she would have been inhaling, it would have burned her lungs. She healed. I still did not think she would quit smoking, but she did. She kept a supply of cigarettes in her house for a full year. She never smoked again. She eventually gave all the cigarettes away. ------>>>>>> Prayers are answered. I call it the law of attraction. The universe responds to thoughts, belief and faith no matter if you believe in a God or not.<<<<<<------ WoW! What a coincident! Oprah promotes that! Like Lambs to the slaughter...men follow gurus... Perhaps they can think their way out of this? |

There is no such thing as coincidence.
All things happen according to the laws of physics (or call it the law of God if you like, or even "karma.") and the will of conscious thinking centers. |

She stopped smoking because she died less than 3 mo.later? She did smoke one last time, she was cremated. |

She can't escape and they certainly don't let her out to smoke. They would if she insisted on it, but like I said, she really did quit. She's afraid of God. |

But the Son of God is greater than a guru, He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He said many imposters would come in His name saying they were christ. So...take your pick! |

All people say that about their guru's.
I don't have any gurus. Teachers maybe, but not gurus who claim to be God. Correction: Jesus was a guru. He died right? |

All people say that about their guru's. I don't have any gurus. Teachers maybe, but not gurus who claim to be God. Few, if any, gurus have made all the claims that Jesus did and live up to them. Nor has any milleniums of history to back them. gurus are fly-by-nights... |

All people say that about their guru's. I don't have any gurus. Teachers maybe, but not gurus who claim to be God. Correction: Jesus was a guru. He died right? Correction: He died yet he lives. He is the Resurrection and the Life! "He died yet he lives" <---is a contradiction. "He is the Resurrection" <---makes no sense. If he came back to life after having died, you could say he was "resurrected" but he cannot 'be the Resurrection.' Unless you are speaking in some kind of code or in purely symbolic terms. |
|

I understand the symbolic idea of 'Jesus" or "the Christ" but the way in which Christians "spread the word" as if they are talking in a literal sense ... makes no sense at all, literally. It is mumbo jumbo.
And when you point this out to them they say... "you just don't understand because you have not accepted Christ into your life.." I don't think they even understand what they are talking about either literally, really. |

I watched a documentary last night about Jim Jones who murdered all those people in Jones town... I remember when that happened. Wow that was awful. I can't believe people believed he was God. Geeeze.
I don't believe any man is or can claim to be "God." |

Geeeze. I don't believe any man is or can claim to be "God." Yeah, quite tragic! I remember that. There will always be men claiming to be Christ. "And (Jesus) said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them." Luke 21:8 |

That includes Jesus. He was not God IMO. If he ever existed at all, he was a man.
