Because the draw of the world is strong. And without working on self control and perseverance, we grow tired and weak. Once they cheat, its pretty hard for them to forgive themselves and it usually gets worse not better. If your talking about your own experience, I am sorry. Give yourself time to heal. But you must be seeking healing to find it. It doesn't come by itself.

Women cheat for a multiplicity of reasons.Some feel emotionally detached from their spouse, some are ignored, bored, frustrated, sexually incommpatible, others seek needed intimacy their spouse fails to provide, and of course there is the stand by too much opportunity and alcohol is usually involved..

Probably for many of the same reasons men cheat. Agreed. Also, I did mine for payback for the cheating that was done to me first. But it didn't make it right, I should have just left.

People cheat due to self esteem issues. One person just doesn't seem to cut it for them.

Hmmmmmm. I'd make sure I was compatible enough with my lover. Why would I even bother checking what else was out there if I was with the one I want? If you both can't communicate properly, then you may both end up losing each other.

why did i cheat? because I felt alone lost needed to feel loved he drifted away from me when i tried soooooo hard no talking no sex no nothing after 30 years.... but its all good that is where i learned alot about relationships!

I never understood why men or woman felt the need to cheat....until I married my husband. I haven't cheated on him but there has never been one time in our six year relationship that he has ever initiated sex. NOT ONCE. I guess I didn't realise that I was the one initiating every single time. I am not the jealous type and was never bothered about him watching porn and...you know. Now I just see him as lazy and it's much easier to sit and watch porn than make an effort in our sex life. I stopped initiating and guess what...he started complaining about our lack of sex! I have spoken to him, cried about it to him, nagged him, shouted at him, everything and nothing has changed. Now, and mind I am not gay, even woman are looking attractive to me right now! It's sad and pathetic but there it is. We have children, so I can't just up and leave but I crave passion and good loving. So ye, I am thinking about cheating.

Now, and mind I am not gay, even woman are looking attractive to me right now! It's sad and pathetic but there it is. I don't think it's pathetic if you want to change your sexual preferences. It's completely up to you. As long as you're honest with yourself.

Not everyone cheats, although if you tell someone you've never done it, they rarely believe you anyway, even if you never have. Now, I understand both sexes cheat, but from what I've seen from the city I live in and the people I've known and still know, I've heard the woman cheats more than the guy. That's not the case for everyone though. I've never understood the point of cheating. If you don't want to be with the person you're with anymore, JUST END IT.
