Usually someone who is confident doesn't have to stick it in your face, which is usually an arrogant act Yup tact always seems to define the difference.

definition of arrogance-hving or displaying a sense of over bearing self-worth or self-importance marked by or uprising from a feeling or assumption of ones superiority towards others confidence- feeling or showing confidence in oneself, self assured feeling or showing certainty about something. therefore in a nut shell it really comes down to how you use confidence as it can clearly become arrogance without ones awareness to it

i beleive the fine line is not between confidence and arrogance,,but over-confidence and arrogance.its good to be confident and feel the same...everybody appreciates it.but it is neither good to be overconfident ,nor to be arrogant.... for a confident person its makes no difference whether to listen or opine as he knows what he is doing,but overconfient person will never listen , and arrogant will be always opine .....negatively on u.

I've always been seen as an arrogant person because I can stand up and do the right thing even when the person in-charge is of a higher level than mine. But to me, standing for a just and right purpose when others are sitting back is not arrogance. It's just self confidence.

Since I am totally arrogant ...I just gotta assume this thread is referring to some schmuck who ain't a pimp like me. :) In all honesty ....how boring would life be if everyone bowed and demured in humility? Yes...angel food cake with a glass of milk is "nice "...... .....so is devil's food cake with peach schnapps.

I was just reading an article which introduced a new word somewhat related to this topic:Bonefidence, which means boner-fueled confidence, the confidence generated when trying to impress women.

The difference between cocky and confident is a thin line. Confidence is to a lot of people sexy while arrogance is considered a turn off and a lot of how people view the line between the two changes with each person. It really is a gray area and its up to everyone p.o.v of what they think is cocky or confident.
