When talking about accents, if someone mentioned the "regular US accent" to you, what kind of accent would you think that is? midwestern Yeah, I never would have thought that, as when I think of midwestern accents, I think of Minnesota accents. |

I personally like hearing people speak in different accents. I'm tired of hearing the so-called normal accent. I'll speak in any accent you would like. I might drool a little though. Drooling is a turn-on for some women. Well that's why I'd be drooling. |

Not even the northern mid-westerners? I know that's not the accent they're talking about, but for example, those in Minnesota definitely have stronger accents. Ooo no, those midwesterners sound like the cast of 'Fargo' to me. interesting observations here - in the midwest - in Ohio there are several accents in Ohio alone - in southern Ohio and west central ohio the accent is Kentucky - when I moved to Columbus and when I go up to Sandusky I get people asking if I am from the south no I am from - philadelphia actually but have lived in southern Ohio 30 years - so sometimes I sound kentucky - very slight - but it's there - especially if I am relaxed and / or tired up cleveland way they sound northeastern - NY state - western Pa in the north and west of ohio they sound canadian so there really is no "standard" in my opinion |

I was born and raise in Warren/Youngstown/Cleveland area. |
