I'm new here and not buying the respect argument. I slept with my ex of 14 years on the first date, 2nd time we ever met. I didn't lose respect for her until the 3rd affair and her leaving our kids alone when I wasn't around. Just got out of a one year relationship with a woman who will continue to be a good friend that I respect immensely. Guess how many dates? The respect argument is really a cover for manipulative nonsense, IMHO.

I am sorry but guys want to go to bed as soon as you meet them...might as well go and become a hooker!! At least you will get paid for doing it!

I'm not saying that everyone should be screwing on first dates. But, sex, for me, is a meeting of equals who are attracted to each other. It's not about what I gave you in order for you to give me some, that's the foundation for a manipulationship. Those kinds of values make me run.

If some guy has sex with a woman on the first date, then says he doesn't respect her, he probably wasn't going to anyway and wasn't looking for anything more than that. It's just an excuse to justify not calling again.

If both people are fine with sex on a first date, I see no problem with that. Sometimes, I think some ladies hold out as a test to see how long a guy will stick around.

Yeah but the last few dates I went on was mostly that!! Specially if you are specific in what you want as indicated on the profile...I am not saying hold off a year damn I wouldn't be able to wait that long..but at least to know you a bit!! So it is not ackward after!!

I don't think most guys lose respect if a woman has sex with them too quickly. Some may, though.

We all do things differently. It may work best for you to wait, while it may work best for someone else to have sex earlier.

It's almost like there is a belief that women don't enjoy sex as much as men. Which if you believe that, you are having sex with the wrong men.

Sometimes friends with bennies is a good thing. Let's say you are single and rather get into a relationship with the wrong person just because you want sex, you go to your friend with bennies.

so it is totally dependent upon what ones aim is,,and if its just sex for both of them, the timing doesnt really matter

I think there has to be a middle ground. Everyone has sexual boundaries. Some people's list is longer than others. It all comes down to respect and getting what you want. You reap what you sow. No matter how long you have been dating the guy, if he loves you, respects you (that includes your body) and cares about you, you can have sex early on or later. If a guy doesn't care about you, it could be months into the relationship.

BTW, we should differentiate between being made love to and being banged. There is a huge difference.

A guy who loves you is going to make sure he makes you feel good.

A guy who just wants to bang you is not going to care if you enjoy it.

Always keep condoms in your bedroom including a box of Magnums just in case.

yep, 'responsible' sex is a step below abstinence, but still has more cases of abortions and unwanted kids,,,because its not nearly as failsafe,,,
