Kewl do you start your new job then? Well, not until that Monday but yes... Looks like next Wed or at most, the following Monday but the offer is signed, sealed and delivered (and accepted!) Yay! This is actually part of my "what I wanna be when I grow up" plan. |

So when does the kissing and celebrating start? You ladies gonna whip off your clothes in a frenzy? Not exactly! LOL! I had gal pals over for dinner, drinks, swimming (which we never got to) and general happy hump day socializing. We "celebrated" by rearranging furniture, moving/hanging artwork and generally redecorating my condo. BIG FUN! Seriously! Tomorrow morning I'll be rolling paint on a couple walls. OMG! I LUV my friends! |

Cleaning, I found Michener's book "Texas"; always meant to read, so started it. FANTASTIC book, I enjoy history. Then got those GREAT pics, by the state photog. The blessings God has given this world, all in one state. Hope all you Texan's will take the time to learn of your own history. I have alot of personal family history down there, also.

Now you know why Texans are Texans...and so dayum proud of it! I've seen so much of Micheners' photos in real life...maybe not in the same place exactly, but the same views and happenings..it's a Texas, most only see in pictures, ...to see it in person is unbelievably humbling.

I was very lucky to have some great opportunities to learn about my new home state. I've also gotten a lot of history from my work with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Speaker's Committee (it's not JUST a party)and I have a fledgling "Texas library" on my bookshelf.
I love my Texas home! |
