They never read the original bill. My guess they never have even had a debate about what we take out of The Patriot Act.

I'd say that is a pretty good guess.....

Patriot Act extension. Obama signed.

good point

and it brings up the question

when the process of creating and passing a bill can take so long and include so many proposals and amendments, is it realistic or wise to expect someone to only sign off when EVERY portion is just as they want it to be?

is it possible that people vote for bills because they want some type of progress on some things they support rather than no progress on ANY of them?

He signed a four year EXTENSION Harmony....slaphead

I understand what he signed, I am asking if people ever consider EVERYTHING that is signed with a signature in a bill that has several proposals in it

for instance,

a bill may have

continued education for citizen children
continued funding for after school programs for citizen children
a results tested pay scale for teachers to encourage results
sex education which includes 'alternative' lifestyles

,,,,now, I am by no means in support of teaching kids alternative lifestyles,, but IF their education , their funding, their results were going to all be postponed or 'abolished' by a failure to sign,, I may have to 'support' the alternative education

this is the game political campaigns play all the time,, they take something controversial about a bill and use it to lambast their opponent to make it seem like they are 'supporting' that issue or 'not supporting' it,,,when it is often the case that the agreement was a compromise of many things they wanted to make progress in along with some things they didnt particularly support,,,

It was drafted by lobbyists of big pharma, insurance companies and Obozo henchmen.

Even Puglosi said "you'll have to pass it if you want to know what's in it!"

Congress never read it! They were paid campaign contributions to pass it!
