Yup I think it is a symptom of Newbieitis lol. Best bet is just keep posting in the forums and changeing adding new photos so you generate more interest.

i didn't cause i learnt my lesson ages ago from another site so i skipped straight to fourm n let the guys do the browsing...

Oh, yep, I did that, too. My favourites list was about 25 people long! And I didn't know that they would know that I added them to my list.... Now, I pretty much stay in the forums.

I have a sub-question to the ladies on this topic, but I don't dare to make it into a topic by itself.

Do you ladies use pictures of members on dating websites to whack off to? I don't know what female masturbation is called, either. Obviously not jismin or jeerking off.

But I am not after the linguistics here and now. I wish to learn whether any one or many woman or women use single site's profile pictures the same way as men use them.

I guess it is my first time to join sites as these. Hey, do you think it's mostly guys that do the browsing? I think ladies are more curious than men nevertheless, they don't browse a lot. I know if a woman really really likes a guy, she will be compelled to want to know all the details about him.

I didn't browse profiles unless I liked what was posted in the forums. But I've been on other dating sites and used to try that.

Good topic! I have had experiences on online dating for a long time. Some not so good. I used to be on here sometime ago but it has generated some silly "controversy" by others because of my goals. So, I left. I noticed people do not write to me and I tried to write and hardly get replies. Only I get are spammers in other sites. What I liked the most was chat rooms about 13 years ago since it resulted good chance for me to meet the ladies in person (met 9 of them in year 1999 alone). But after that, scene seem to shift to profiles and emailing, well, it dived down. Then I went hiatus because I got married to a woman whom I met IN person at a singles dance. Only to be divorced a few years later. About 4 years ago, I came back. That is when the controversy started (no, I will not go in there or there will be same old jokes from people again).

What I can tell you is that one of the topics I argued with was about people not replying when I was replying to their profiles and I asked why. And yeah, it was all cliche that people on many sites now prefer chatting through forums and for some sites, if any, their chat rooms. But then again, it also can be controversal. Hard for me to explain. If you get my saying, good. If not, sorry about that.

I still do browse but um,.. hard to know which is spammer or waster (refuse to reply back to me).

Eons ago when I first started, I browsed the Mutual Match profiles. After the first day of seeing that the ones that I looked at on my own were not on here for over a month I gave up doing it that way. I post in the forums daily, but that does not seem to help me either. The one person I connected with never posted, did not have a photo and wrote me out of the blue. So who really knows how this works in the long run. Personally I think its all up to a billion to one chance anyhow. And if I stay on here long enough a new guy will join and write and BAM its all over for another season.

By the way, what ever happened to Mutual Match?
