Were still here for ya girl!

Ranee made it out of surgery and is in intensive care. My sister is
leaving for Nebraska in the morning. Thank you all for being there for
me and giving me strength. I have been distraut most of day. I'm very
tired. I will give you another update when I hear. She is not out of
the woods, we have to make it throught the night.

When I replied to your private e-mail to me just now (after being out of
town this weekend), I had no idea what you and your family had been
presented with.

From the depth of my soul and spirit, I am sending up prayer for all of
you ~ especially Ranee and her baby.

No one every really knows what someone has in their minds and hearts
when they try or are successful in committing suicide. I pray not only
that she survives, but that the issues that drove her to such a
desperate, potentially permanent solution are identified and worked on.

If I were closer, I'd hold you while you cry. Know that my hug
surrounds you...

I just got off the phone with Tami, my sister. Ranee is resting
peacefully. It's been a day from hell to be certain. In my wildest
dreams I would never imagine Ranee out of all of our kids to do
something so horrific. She's so bright, she's never gotten less than an
"A" in her entire life. She's had this beautiful little girl, she was
living a dream. She had recently split from her boyfriend, they didn't
marry, but she is heaven and earth to him. I don't know why she left
him. She had been living on her own, she had a good job and was able to
support herself and the baby and Rick continued to be a huge part of
their lives. All I know is she wanted to come home and was very
homesick. She was planning to come back for a visit in the next week.
Her surgery lasted eight hours. Tami is leaving in the morning. You
always think this shit happens to someone else, not you...when it does
it's very surreal. I need to get some rest, if I can. I will post an
update in the morning. I have friends here that I have called upon, but
my being able to share here has been more comforting to me than you all
can know. Just knowing that beyond my hometown there are prayers going
out for our baby is a blessing.

I just read your message, I am so sorry for your family and happy that
she made it through her surgery. I hope your sister can get her to move
back home with her when she is able to be moved. Sounds like family is
what she is needing most right now. I hope things go well for you.

Is she in therapy?

If not, she better get some counceling.

Hi Recon!! no she's not in therapy, but when she's well enough to get
her butt back home I'm gonna kick it all the way there you can bet on

I am so sorry for you and your family. I hope the suffering that you
guys are going through will be eased.No one can prepare for events like
what you and all around you are going through right now.

Before I replyed like many, I sat back and said a prayer for you and
your family and I know,that God will work in all of your lives. He
already has started his wonderful works by seeing your neice through
this, and know, you are not alone.I think I speak for all of us," We are

I am sorry to hear about your family and I hope that not only she gets
better but that once she gets better that the cause of her decision is
dealt with so that she doesnt feel she has to resort to that ever again.
Please keep us posted.

Ranee made it through the night, but things are more grim than orginally
known. At this point, doctors say her liver is beginning to shut down.
Ranee has got to fight to survive. She's a fighter, and that's what we
are all prayer for now. She's a beautiful young woman. She deserves so
much to have a second chance at life...Hug your children today and tell
them that you love them.
