The "reasons" differ for everyone, some find it daunting due to just trying to hard. It will happen when it's supposed to.

I can't think of a game to compare it all too. Seems like I have been playing blind man's bluff for a long time.

I think you just have to go on andplay whatever the game is going on the playground on any given day and if it is not in your skill set make sure you get a great coach to get you on the field to play or at least practice. Then Opportunity meets your options and your odds go up.

I do think a little more teamsmanship would help. I have belong to single groups before that worked a lot harder at being a team about introduceing their friends to the mix and just generally cheer each other on and the sucess ration was phenominal.

With the Queen being the most powerful piece on the chessboard, it is no wonder that you are finding it difficult to meet someone. I suggest you use your knight and take her by surprise

Ahh, chess. The knight on my board always seems to be a t****r in tinfoil. I shall become bridget jones and buy a cat. Or not :-) I figure if you don't like the game (whatever it may be) stop playing, and just be comfortable being you. The irony of the whole thing seems to be that as soon as you genuinely stop looking, that shiny knight appears in front of you, but you have to stop looking for him first.
