Heck they didn't believe Jesus to be the promissed messiah, Jesus was perfect and pure, he didn't fault anywhere in the law. They just didn't believe him to be whom he said he was, and whom later on God the Father said he was. |

"Faith" in general has nothing to do specifically with "God". placing faith in anything but God is called Witchcraft Incorrect Faith - 1.Complete trust or confidence in someone or something Unless you wish to say you don't hav complete trust or confidence in anything or anyone. Do you not have confidence in yourself? If so, you then have faith in yourself. Do you not have complete confidence and trust that you'll eat sometime after you read this message? That is called faith. Having faith in God and just having faith in something in general are two totally different things. I'm sorry to hear you have no faith in yourself. |

Uhh, no. That's the reason he was crucified, because he was not teaching Judaism. thanks Cowboy for giving one of the reasons why Jesus should have been crucified He came to fulfill the prophecies of "Judaism", to fulfill that covenant God had made with man. And to give us anew covenant between man and God. Thus the total difference between the old and new testmiments, they are knowledge of two different "covenants". |

The OP would be a little more meaningful to me if even a little effort was made to keep the quotes in their context.
And I don't mean 'quoting more of the material'. I mean, putting effort into understanding the situation surrounding, and the meaning behind, the quotes. |

The OP would be a little more meaningful to me if even a little effort was made to keep the quotes in their context. And I don't mean 'quoting more of the material'. I mean, putting effort into understanding the situation surrounding, and the meaning behind, the quotes. Yes very true. When one quotes a statement, they should quote the entire quote. Not just what they wish to respond to, possibly taking it out of context. Not pointing anybody out, but a couple do this very frequently. They only quote that part and not the entire message, so the quote kind of looses it's original meaning and is left with how the person responded to it. that's why the forum allows you to do a [ quote ] what you're quoting [ /quote ] So you can point out exactly what you're responding to, but leaving the rest of the message there. Drives me up the wall when people edit the posts they are responding to with only quoting part of it. |

The OP would be a little more meaningful to me if even a little effort was made to keep the quotes in their context. .... Even that would not be enough to properly make a list like the OP has, for the bible. For some of those quotes, nuances of language and cultural context are essential to properly understand what was meant. that's why the forum allows you to do a [ quote ] what you're quoting [ /quote ] So you can point out exactly what you're responding to, but leaving the rest of the message there. Drives me up the wall when people edit the posts they are responding to with only quoting part of it. Ooops... I do that all the time! I am the king of slicing up other people's quotes! But most of the time I strive to fairly respond to what I believe was intended... and when I intentially take it out of context, I say that I do. I'm not trying to mis-represtent anyone, just trying to focus in on what i see as the essentials. Today I used bolding rather than slice-quoting so as not to offend you. :) |

Cowboy, why are you wasting your breath. Read the questions you have been asked, and the answers you have been given?? Your talking to walls. Luv2, I know lol, he repeats the same thing over and over and over and over even after it's been explained. But I like to answer over and over and over and over *takes a breath* and over and over, so in case someone else had these thoughts, or ideas. Not specifically responding to "him", just his words. The only time really that I'm responding directly to him, is when his name is included such as this one. |

And sometimes the comments/discussion(s) go into deeper discussion then they did the previous time(s). Shedding more light on the subject. |
