God gave us the free will to follow Him or not. If we follow God and ask Christ for salvation we will be saved. I have heard people talk like there is no God or all I have to do is be a good person

Some people don’t even care they think well I will just party down there but they won’t be partying. There will be so much pain they will be gnashing their teeth and screaming forever.

MATTHEW 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Why people don’t believe in God I have no idea. But whether or not you believe in God, if you have not asked Christ for salvation you will go to hell and burn and scream forever not just a few thousand years Forever, Eternity.

Those that think you can be nice and go to heaven are wrong. You will never have a perfect world there will always be sin in this world the only way we can get to heaven is to accept the gift of salvation Christ is offering.

LUKE 13: 23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

People have doubt and are confused and think God did this to us but the devil is the one who did this. It takes faith that God will do what He says. Having that faith seems impossible for some people but with Christ all things are possible.

It is not our place to judge it is between God and that person. All He wants from us is for us to love our neighbor and tell of our saviors salvation to all.

JOHN 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

If my salvation depended on what someone else thinks I should have done I would be dammed to hell. God can reach into anywhere He saved my sole in the middle of a drug party.

Because I had faith; full belief that Christ was crucified buried, conquered hell and rose from the grave to save me from my sin belief that He could do what He said He would and I asked my Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

People will always look for other ways to get to heaven or not at all but the place you spend your eternity depends on whether or not you accept the salvation Christ has for you.

Here is a sample prayer if you’re not saved today ask God for salvation in Jesus Christ’s Name.

“Dear Heavenly father I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven?"

"Jesus Christ, with your help I place my trust in you for salvation, and I ask that you will forgive me of my sins. I thank you for your wonderful grace and forgiveness?”

Go and tell a Christian church you have asked for salvation and go to Sunday school you'll find fellowship and the study of the bible to be a great help as you grow as a Christian.

Hell is not real. The word "hell" in the NT was translated from the Greek words "Hades" and "Tartaros", both of which are derived from Greek myth.

2 Timothy 4:3-5
New International Version (NIV)

3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

"Sound doctrine" the Bible is the same source from which you retrieved these verses, Peter_pan!

The same scriptures you are using to support your false claim, Peterpan, instead verifies that hell exists.

The warnings against those who will not "put up with sound doctrine"
applies to YOU!

• And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2 ESV)

• And [the wicked] will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. (Matthew 25:46 ESV)

• And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15 ESV). In verse 10, we are told that the Lake of Fire burns “forever and ever.”

More New Testament mention of hell:
(You may consider reading the entire chapters of these)

Matthew 5:22 (Whole Chapter)
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Matthew 5:29 (Whole Chapter)
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 5:30 (Whole Chapter)
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Matthew 10:28 (Whole Chapter)
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 11:23 (Whole Chapter)
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Matthew 16:18 (Whole Chapter)
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Matthew 18:9 (Whole Chapter)
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Matthew 23:15 (Whole Chapter)
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Matthew 23:33 (Whole Chapter)
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Mark 9:43 (Whole Chapter)
And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Mark 9:45 (Whole Chapter)
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Mark 9:47 (Whole Chapter)
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

Luke 10:15 (Whole Chapter)
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

Luke 12:5 (Whole Chapter)
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

"As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Free Christian Graphic: But I Don't Believe in Hell! (Man in Hell).

Lots of people have told me over the years that they do not believe in hell. To be honest with you, I would rather not believe in hell, either. But heaven and hell are both realities, clearly talked about in the Bible. The Lord Jesus Himself talks about the terrible reality of hell, warning us not to go there.

I have found that it's better to prepare ourselves for certain realities than to pretend they don't exist. I hate storms and I hate illness. Everyone hates death. Who could possibly love war or violent crime or theft or robbery? Yet all of these things exist. Life is not just happy things. Best to avoid what we can of the bad things in life — and in the afterlife.

The Bible calls them "scoffers" and "the scornful".

3, "Knowing this first,
that there shall come in the last days scoffers,
walking after their own lusts,
4, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?
for since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were
from the beginning of the creation."
2Peter 3:3,4

1, Blessed is the man that walketh not
in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalms 1:1

These people have foolishly committed themselves to falsehood.

Yet,
the Lord has given every man the opportunity
to receive Jesus Christ for a foundation
upon which to trust and build their faith.

Because ye have said,

We have made a covenant with death,

and with hell are we at agreement;

when the overflowing scourge shall pass through,

it shall not come unto us:

for we have made lies our refuge,

and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,

Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone,

a tried stone, a precious corner stone,

a sure foundation:

he that believeth shall not make haste.

I have met two people who have had death experiences and been to hell. The first was a teenager who overdosed. The second a hard out guy who keeps overdosing by accident. He has been there 3 times. Why would they lie? Both are beyond terrified of hell now.

Hey Peter,

Just because the pagans have some awareness of spiritual realities doesn't negate the truth.

Many pagan cultures have among their 'myths' accounts of the Great Flood of Noah's time.

That doesn't make the Flood a falsehood.

You have found some pagan accounts of hell and now you think all references to hell are pagan.

That is a faulty logic and does not stand up to the revelation of Scripture.

Let your mind be renewed by the Word of God and don't doubt it. Even when the pagans agree with it, we should rejoice that there is still some of God's truth out among the pagans.

Nor do I fear hell, for I have absolute assurance of salvation. Absence of fear of hell is not our measure of truth on the matter. God's word is truth and as Cerise's list of scriptures declare the matter, no more argument need be made. Simply believe.

Yours in Christ

Elihu

Greetings All

God is eternal, and He created time and space and all that fills them.

We live in His creation which is temporal, not eternal.

When we our bodies die, we then enter into eternity.

God's reward to those who have received eternal life is that they will enter into eternal blessing.

The blessing has to be eternal for it is given in eternity, the eternal realm.

Likewise, the punishment for those who would not repent is eternal, it can not be anything else for there is nothing temporal in eternity.

In eternity reward and punishment are both eternal.

Thus hell is forever.

If you can't see it from Scripture, then perhaps this appeal to your logic might help.

Peace to you in Jesus Name

Hell is a real place. Hell is merely a temporary holding place. It's not permanent and it wasn't made for man. It was made to hold Satan till judgement. Why God chose to do this is beyond me, I will ask him one day. But lol nevertheless hell is real and was not made for man. It will be destroyed in the end of times, it will be cast into the lake of fire.

Peter, the "fearful" that is mentioned in this verse is an adverb
describing a person who causes others to be frightened.
The verse is referring to those who may seek to persecute yourself or others.

People who "fear" or respect God's sovereign power and authority will not be sent to hell.

"And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy
both soul and body in hell."

Which pagan, spiritual "reality" are you refering to? X-mas? Easter? Sunday worship? Repetitious prayer? Reverance to the cross (idolatry)?

2 Kings 17:7-15
King James Version (KJV)

7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,

8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:

11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger:

12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.

13 Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the Lord their God.

15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.

Now, if you want me to believe in your "hell", you must first convince me that Hades and Tartaroos are NOT pagan myths...

2 Timothy 4:3-5
King James Version (KJV)

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Peter Pan,

Your statement here is simply ridiculous.

"Now, if you want me to believe in your "hell", you must first convince me that Hades and Tartaroos are NOT pagan myths...

This line of reasoning of yours is faulty to begin with.

If there is a pagan myth about eight people surviving a world wide flood, does that then make the flood story in the Bible false?

If there are pagan myths about the reality of the devil, does that make the Biblical record of his existence false.

Your reasoning makes the pagan myths the arbitrator of truth.

Your reasoning is such that if any truth from God's Word is found in a pagan myth, then it is no longer true.

Ridiculous.

Hell is real because the Bible says so, regardless of whether a pagan myth does or does not agree. Your focus is in the wrong place. Get your eyes off pagan myths as they are irrelevant to God's truth.

Hell is in the Bible. Check out the Scriptures Cerise posted earlier. Get out your concordance and do some proper study instead of looking at pagan myths.

Peace to you in Jesus Name.

Hell is NOT in the Bible. Show me one verse where hell has NOT been translated from sheol, Gehenna, Hades or Tataroos.

Show me one verse where the Lord's sabbath can be rightly changed to the pagan sun god's day of worship (Sunday).

Show me one verse where human sacrifice could attone for sins.

My "reasoning" comes from God's word, NOT the doctrines of men.

Sorry, but the Bible says that people will turn aside to myths and that heresies would be secretly introduced.

2 Peter 2:1-3
New International Version (NIV)

False Teachers and Their Destruction
2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them —bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
