Oh wow! Now that's a room I could just sit in all day and be perfectly happy.

Yes, decorating your home is an art. Creating an environment that is uplifting and peaceful is so much more than buying matching furniture.

Love driftwood and I'm currently incorporating it to my home. Saw this one recently and was actually going to do something similar, but am still looking for the right driftwood. The person who did this beat me to it. Beautiful, IMHO.

I think how you decorate your home is also an art in itself. :)

This is beyond beautiful Red!...I agree with you about home decor being an art!...I think a persons home goes far in reflecting their artistic sideflowerforyou

My thoughts exactly, ladies. :) I'm a garden person so I thought of making it flow inside my house by using lots of wood in my furnishings and decors, though I'm also mixing it with iron decorative pieces. My window and door grills are made from iron and designed it myself. The colors inside are simple earth tones that invite and play with light.

I have a a couch set that was from my grandmother. It's made with a nice kind of strong wood called Narra that will last for many generations. We're in the process of restoring it. Will post probably post pictures when it's done. Some designs I found on the net which are similar to what I'm doing:

Old door knobs used instead of clothes hook.

Yes definately, art is something everyone shall see.Everybody to me is an artist.Do not you see at times in a art museum a blank canvas well that is also supposed to be art or would you call it fake. Those that are true though deserve respect.

I draw sometimes with different mediums but usually ink or marker to create unusual stuff like monsters or creatures.

i don't think art is for anyone else.
it's mostly for yourself.
if the artist calls it art,
then it's art.
i make messes.

I don't think I would agree with that.
I am an artist and I wonder if I would paint with such passion if I were the only person left in the world to view it?

I like others to enjoy my art.

Totally makes sense Jeannie! flowerforyou

I think we can agree, artists are usually a weird bunch lol and I can appreciate individualism to be alive and well.... I've come to the realization that some REALLY REALLY good artists don't particularly like their own creations? sad2

Everyone should post their work here and let us decide! pitchfork laugh

Hey,

Bravo, absolutely agree with what you're saying about the effort of creating something is in itself something to admire!

Creativity is inspirational - after all, where would we be without some form of self expression?

By creativity, I DO mean to imply a form of humanistic non-agressive expression.

Anyone can be aggressive. Acts of aggression may well be the result of a repressed individual's need to express themselves in a desperate form.

To be creative takes far more imagination and insight.

BRAVO to all creators! x
