Yes, we are all artists and creators. What do I create? I create a home for my family.

i have a problem with calling photography an art.
i have a problem with most digital art forms.
o.O
i just hate computers.
it's cheating!

I have to ask the same question as Sing:tongue: How is digital art and photographic art cheating?...I worked in advertising for years, commercial photography....During my last three years in the business, photo shop was becoming more popular in that the ad agencies (our accounts) were beginning to request it more often because it was cost effective...Trust me when I tell you digital imaging and photography are both art forms....

My garden may not qualify as art, but here's one that does....

One day I will have an amazing garden...

I have actually dabbled in using computers for art, while some things that people do with the computers i wouldnt call art (photoshop) i would call drawing with sketchbook express art because its just as hard as drawing on a sketchbook.

i've done the sketchbook express stuff.
i don't think it's hard.
whatever crap i scribbled on that is complete crap to me though.
i prefer smearing charcoal on paper.

There's a big difference, though, in dabbling in photoshop and actually knowing what you're doing.

you can call it art all you want.
i still don't like it.
i don't think it's worth anything.
you can use a computer;
good for you.

but you're just pushing buttons.
o.O

Not true at all.

The most difficult part of a painting or a two dimensional work is the idea and composition. There is mood, color, position to consider.

I have designed 3 complete 80 card tarot decks and all on the computer using collage and paint shop techniques.

Not only do you have to be an artist and designer, you have to learn the paint program you are using.

(And I did them all with a mouse, not a tablet with a pen.)
so you have to be good with a mouse.

If you think it is so "easy" and it is just "pushing buttons" then give it a try yourself and see how well you do.

Here is one of my cards:

And I also do oil paintings.

This Hermit card has the face of my sisters husband and the head of my nephew as the boy. Other images in the picture are taken from public domain old masters paintings.

i don't understand why you people try to convince me otherwise.
there is nothing you can say to me or show me that'll make me respect any type of digital art.

My vision of the page of swords below.

If you follow the link it will take you to my blog where it tells about how I created this card. It was one of the last cards I completed in my last deck, Infinite Visions Tarot.

And all I did was "push buttons." laugh laugh
I wish.

That is because you don't know how to do it yourself and you have never tried so there is nothing much you can do to make me respect your unqualified opinion.

One of my favorite quotes.

"The ultimate ignorance is the rejection of something you know nothing about and refuse to investigate"
