As for me, I love with my heart, my whole heart and nothing but my heart. I have varying degrees of love of course...but in the end it all comes from one place.

I don't let other people dictate my actions either, which can be difficult when I love somebody (because love is unconditional).

However, my brain helps me to be smart about it. Even if I love someone, that doesn't make them infallible, and it doesn't mean they love me back. I have to be cold and intellectual in realizing that my love is one-sided, that I need to love myself and not become a doormat. Too, when a loved one does something inappropriate, I have to give them tough-love. No matter what type of love I'm giving though, it always comes from the heart.

Awwwwwwwwww one should always LOVE totaly and completly with your HEART but............ let your brain do the thinking for it is your brain that will see the things your HEART cannot. And your HEART will feel the things your BRAIN cannot. They are actually a pair that should never work without the other when it comes to Love.

For me it takes both. Brain for control & heart for my soul.

. Love for me has always defied and transcended logic.
Love is essentially spiritual and cannot be fully understood anymore than one can dissect why we feel that a poem or an object of art is beautiful. The painting like love is beautiful because of the way it makes us feel. We love because of what we are - human - and it is entirely possible to fall in love even though you do not want to, even though you have very little in common, even if your families are at war, even if you have very different religious beliefs, even if there is a huge educational disparity, or any number of obvious intellectual differences exist.

A good example is the love I have for some of my relatives. I love many of them deeply even though we are very very different. The same can be said for many of my friends and of the other loves I have had in my life.

The heart trumps the brain every time. Therefore, I love with my heart. If this explanation is insufficient then I would not be surprised because I don't think love can be fully understood this way.

I have strudel. Lots of amazing strudel. Thin homemade dough.
Hand stretched. Apples, raisins and nut filling. Rich and
delicious. It is dangerous. Cinnamon sugar on top, baked brown and crispy on the outside. Conflagrations have erupted over my strudel.

I'll take 20 pounds of strudel with some fried bananas and peanut butter.
