This morning I had a wake up call.
Soon the tears started to fall.
Down my cheeks they ran.
Because I seen within the heart of a man.
For the first time I started to think.
And realize there is a missing link.
As I look back.
Wondering were did I get off track?
As I turn back the hands of time.
I see what happen overtime.
I created a safety net.
That later I would surely regret.
It did not happen over night.
And I did not put up much of a fight.
But little by little it showed.
I was caring a heavy load.
It took away that desire.
And slowly put out the fire.
They no longer looked my way.
No longer there desires did I portray.
All they could finally see.
Is that I had let time catch up with me.
You see this is true.
I’m not the one they pursue.
I must face my guilt.
About this safety net I built.
You see I found a way to be invisible.
No longer was I desirable.
At least not to the ones I’m attracted too.
So you see it is true.
I’m the one that built this wall.
And only I can make it fall.
I know what I must do at any rate.
But for one I waited too late.
They will never get to see.
The person I could to be.
Some will say it is not what is on the outside.
That it is the person on the inside.
We all have expectations of what we desire.
And what it takes within to start the fire.
So if you are not what they portray.
They vision in there mind they will walk away.
And if you say that this is not true.
Then maybe it is you.
That needs to sit down and see things in a different way.
This is seeing the reality of today!!

pkh I'm honored that my words do touch your heart. For in reality we all have so much more as far as thought that are the same wants and desires that each of us have. We have all dealt with the pain of course each in a differt way but yet the pain is still there.
