I know not explicitly what he will desire of us specifically in Heaven, for I am not God and we have not been specifically told.

Just because one doesn't need it, doesn't mean they don't desire it. God desires a relation with each and everyone of us. That doesn't mean he needs it, for he was doing just fine before he created us.

It's not that I lack the love for God, guess you're not to much of a forgiving person it seems, you don't believe people make mistakes and occassionally do things they really didn't mean to do and don't normally do.

No, but people's actions do moreorless... depends to a small degree. Making mistakes and sinning is not saying you don't love God, it's not showing you don't love God. It's showing that you made a mistake, thus where repentance comes into play before forgivess.
